Daughter wanted to take a... - Daughter wanted to take a Nile Cruise. I Hated the Idea of being on a cruise ship, but, decided to suffer through it for her sake. Glad I did. Cabin was nice, with a sliding door that allowed me to sit and watch the scenery float by. Some spots along the shore hadn't seemed to change much in past 4000 years. This perch was worth the price of the cruise. I noticed other ships did not have a sliding glass door, gotta have the open air view. The food exceeded expectations, nice buffet, with a wide variety of options. Our excursion guide was knowledgeable and professional. I half expected a test upon completion. He was very proud of his heritage, and really wanted us to learn and understand. (Confession: I am a history geek). If you go, please tip these folks well. Everyone seems to work really hard to make your experiences memorable. Love Arab hospitality

Essential experience in Egypt - We had a fantastic time on our 2-day cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Despite the relatively short duration, we managed to complete all the essential stops (Abu Simbel, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Luxor West & East Bank) in a mere 3 days not least thanks to the excellent and seamless organisation. Bassant was very responsive in organising the trip and helping us with our add-ons (incl. subsequent transfer to Hurghada). Our most heartfelt thanks goes out to our amazing guide Shakour, who shared his deep knowledge and passion for ancient history with us and made our trip that much more enjoyable. We deeply appreciated his guidance and flexibility on-site so that we could fully immerse ourselves. The cruise ship itself was very clean, had all the necessary amenities and offered great food and service. We would recommend this cruise to anyone, even if your itenary is a bit tight like ours was.

Don’t miss it - I will give my honest view, basically because I find very useless those reviews that say that everything was perfect. Overall, I recommend the experience. The good: the travel agency, specially Mona, was excellent. Mona took care of all the details before and during the trip. All the info was accurate. The representatives, guides, and drivers were on time and very professional. The boat was good but old style. Couldn’t avoid thinking about the Titanic movie. They even played the soundtrack. The boat was pretty much what I expected: a floating hotel with a restaurant, a lounge and a deck to sit back and relax. The rooms were small but clean. The food was good and abundant. The views from the deck were spectacular. These were the highlight of the trip and you won’t find them anywhere else. The not so good: the visits to the temples were very short. The guides tried hard to give good explanations but the visits were hard-pressed by the sailing schedules. If you really want to enjoy the sites you should plan for additional days. You can hire a guide and a driver in Luxor and visit Edfu and Kim Ombo in one day. We didn’t take the optional tours in Luxor. Many reviews say that this is a must but we are glad that we didn’t. These tours give lots of information but can be exhausting specially for kids. Finally, I have to say that I’m an independent traveler and had stayed away from cruises. I’m very happy that I went. After all, no trip to Egypt is complete without a Nile cruise.

Very nice trip. - I’m not a cruise guy and normally I avoid this wristband-like tourism. However, the experience was very nice. I read a lot before embarking on a Nile cruise boat and It was what I expected. Not more, not less. The boat was nice, old style. Couldn’t avoid thinking about the Titanic movie. As far as I know, all boats are pretty much the same. Food was abundant and good. The drinks were not included but weren’t that expensive. The rooms were small but clean and in good condition. The sun deck was really great. The views of the Nile were the best thing. Mona, at the travel agency was fantastic. She provided timely information before and during the trip. Everything was accurate. The trips to the temples were too short though. This was because of the tight sailing schedules. If you like just to put a check mark on your to do list, this is fine., but I would have liked to spend more time in the temples. I really didn’t understand this: the boat arrived at Luxor at 5:00 pm or so and we didn’t do anything else. The guides were good and knowledgeable. Overall I recommend the trip.

Misleading and erroneous description of the tour. Company lacking professionalism - This tour is described as a 3 days, 2 nights cruise tour, starting at 9 am on the 1st day, ending at 9 am on the 3rd one. In fact, the 1st day, I was picked up at a meeting point (and not at my hotel as specified) at 8h30 am and then had to wait until 13h to get my room. The boat remained in Aswan all day and only started sailing at 2 am. So, the 1st 1/2 day (supposed to be a full day) is not a cruise tour. The 2nd day was fine. The 3rd day, a taxi driver picked me up and let me at the public ferry in Luxor. When I entered the corridor to access my room on the 1st day, there were food wastes on the floor, a bed lying in the middle of the corridor. Next, I was informed about day 2 activities at 23h the 1st day (and was asleep). Further, the last night, I was awake by a phone call in the middle of the night. I asked the company to refund me 65 USD (equivalent to the 1st 1/2 day I lost waiting for the room) and they refused. So, this is not a tour I'd recommend.
