Aswan falucca and botanical garden - I was able to book a same day private excursion for my wife and I. The falucxa ride was relaxing on the Nile. The Botanical Gardens were nice. Mostly what most of the tourist areas of Egypt are like except with interesting trees and flowers. Kids and adults ambushing you to pedal their trinkets relentlessly, but there were trees and a cool river to walk along. Just know what to expect. It's a very nice 2.5 hour adventure.

Very chill way to spend an otherwise free afternoon in Aswan. - My wife and I found ourselves back at our cruise ship after an early trip to Abu Simbel so we booked this tour on a very short notice (2 hrs) and Amarco was able to deliver successfully, very good communication! Our assigned captain Mikail was very cheerful and allowed us to steer the felucca. He was happy to answer any questions we had and was joking all the time, great time on board! The botanical garden and the felucca were both really nice. There were no guide on board with us but no need for this trip in my opinion. Important to note that the botanical garden has an entrance fee of 70 EGP pr. person, foreign currency and credit card not accepted. It takes around 15-20 min to get to the island from the east bank dock and then around 1:30 hrs is sufficient to tour around the island, if you time it well you will enjoy an absolutely astonishing sunset on the felucca. It is worth noting that there is a small botanical museum near the entrance which may be easy to miss. Here they showcase different seeds of different plants, it is interesting if you are into that. Also important note; there are merchants both on board the felucca and on the island with the usual souvenirs but I felt people are less clingy than elsewhere. There was a boy with a baby crocodile and he let us interact with the animal and take photos, he wanted to charge a little too much but he was willing to negotiate down to something acceptable, definitely worth trying as well.

A strange afternoon - Picked up on time and taken to boat, everthing was looking good but the guide left us at the felucca with the sailor. The sailor was great despite the wind not co-operating. We were stuck going the wrong direction for about an hour and a half as the non-english speaking sailor was frantically making phone calls. After a while a motorised boat arrived and towed us to the Botanical Gardens on Kitchner then left. Felucca sailor said we had an hour to explore. Once on island, there was no guide, lots of people trying to sell things to you (as usual) and we had to pay the enterance fee. Gardens were nice but could use a bit more care. A man pretending to be the head gardener tried to guide us telling us that a random yellow flower was saffron, when I said it wasn't he argued with me. I have grown saffron on my farm in Australia and I know what saffron is, this plant must be "special egyptian saffron". Anyway, made it back to the felucca, and the wind cooperated and the fecluuca sailor easily took us back to our hotel. The sailor was great, and did his best despite the lack of wind. I expected a guided tour, not just a guide to take us to the felucca, and thought entry fees were included. A bit more clarity on the website would be good.

Gentle ride on the Nile ,... - Gentle ride on the Nile , lovely to see traditional fishermen and other boats on the Nile. However , there is constant hassle to buy things even on the boat. The botanical gardens is full of people trying to sell their wares so you don't really feel relaxed enough to enjoy the garden.
