- Unfinished Obelisk - Proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk located in the granite quarries of Aswan, the source of much of the red granite used in ancient temples and statues. The Unfinished Obelisk remains in its original location, left incomplete due to a crack discovered during its carving. Your knowledgeable Egyptologist guide will explain the process of carving the 1-ton obelisk and the reason it was abandoned.
- Temple of Philae - The final stop among the three renowned Aswan sites is often considered the most impressive. Philae Temple was meticulously relocated to its current position (approximately 500 meters from its original location) due to the rising Nile waters caused by the High Dam’s construction. A brief motorboat ride will take you to the island, where your guide will lead a walking tour through the temple, followed by free time for you to explore independently.
Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple is beautifully situated on a river island, landscaped to resemble its original setting.
