Walking tour of central Asuncion - Guide was earnest and knowledgeable. It was very hot and he accommodated us old folks. Didn’t know much about the history of Paraguay and he gave us a good overview. Saw the important sites in the central city. Tour lasted about 3 hours. Stopped for a soft drink with a nice overview of the López Palace.

Assumption, a sea of lights! - Asunción pleasantly surprised us. A very bright city, more during the Christmas season, with many buildings under construction and it feels like it is a city that is growing. Many good restaurants, very nice shopping. In the area where we were staying, Villa Morra - Recoleta, little bars everywhere, the night very lively and we felt very safe. Friendly people and most helping the tourist. It is worth knowing, as well as being very economical with regard to food, drinks and clothing, even in shopping. I will come back for sure, but we were lucky in time, the temperature did not exceed 37° in those days, now it is already in 45° thermal sensation. He doesn't give to walk the streets! Well-preserved avenues, but the inner streets, even in the best neighborhoods, a disaster, to travel with a classic car is to destroy it. To get around is very good the Bolt car service (Uber type), they are punctual, you can choose the car categories, we always prefer Comfort. We'll repeat at some point!

Excellent Tour Guide for a Short but Enriching Visit to Asunción - Octavio was an excellent, professional tour guide. He was a true gentleman, highly knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable despite my mistake of visiting Asunción on a Sunday when many museums were closed. Luckily, the railroad museum was open, and I thoroughly enjoyed it—thanks to Octavio's guidance. Asunción may be a small city, but it has a rich history and unique culture that are worth exploring. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're short on time.

Great Experience! - It was an amazing tour with Mateo. Very nice guy, friendly, energetic, patient and very knowledgeable. He has traveled to a lot of countries and he knows so much about the history of Asuncion, Paraguay and South America in general. He explained everything in detail and showed me all the important sites and more. We saw a lot for a two hour tour. We also tried some local sweets and a local drink and I went to a great rooftop bar he suggested after with an amazing city view! Well worth it! Thank you!

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR - First of all, there isn't really much to see in Asuncion. It is a nice city with a long history, and I assume the museums are a good place to go. However, this tour gives you the option as to what time you start. I picked the latest time, 5pm, so I had the day to do other things. The guy shows up and I find out that the museums, which are a big part of the tour, are all closed. He also tells me he doesn't know why they offer the late tours since the best time for the tour is during the morning and early afternoon. So, basically, I took a long walk in the rain and the cold, saw a couple of museums briefly while they were closing...and finally called it quits about halfway through. I have travelled all over the world and taken tours with many companies and have never experienced a tour operator doing an obvious money grab like this one. The guide himself was nice and helpful, but he is just a cog in the machine. I blame Viator and the tour company for this debacle. They even offer you a choice of how many hours you have on the tour. I would assume that they have things to show you that can last up to that long. I booked four hours, but after walking around in the rain and the dark and visiting a couple of museums while they were closing, I quit after two hours. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR.
