Bucket list item checked! - What an interesting experience this was! Gemma was a great guide and explained truffle hunting in a very informative way. It was very exciting to be part of the truffle hunting experience. I would definitely recommend this experience. Make sure you wear good walking shoes!

The heart of a secretive world - Ever since seeing THE TRUFFLE HUNTERS film, I have been haunted by images of the experience. And thanks to Gemma, Maurizio and Barto the dog, we had the experience yesterday - at a secret location outside Assisi. We followed obediently as Barto hunted, Gemma was able to give us lots of information about the truffle infrastructure below the ground. And yes, truffle are found, examined - and celebrated. A brilliant experience.

Amazing Dog, Great (and different) Experience - A great (but unusual) thing to do for visitors to do in Italy. If you know about truffles, you will find this interesting. Hiking through the beautiful countryside following Balto (the dog), resulted in him finding numerous black truffles, some big, some small. (White truffles are later in the year.) Our guide had each of us dig out a truffle that Balto had amazingly just sniffed out, to get the truffle out the correct way. It was very interesting watching how Balto listened to his owner then went to work finding truffles. We got to take some of the truffles “home” too. Very interesting experience!

A great and memorable truffle hunting experience! - This was a truly amazing experience! The hills surrounding Assisi are absolutely beautiful. Barto the dog was a pro at finding truffles and it was very interesting to watch the dog and his master, the truffle hunter, work the woods in search of this edible treasure. Both the truffle hunter and the lady guide were very warm, friendly, informative, and really made this a fun and memorable adventure for all who attended the hunt. This has definitely been one of the highlights of my trip to Italy this year, and I highly recommend it!

Cutest experience ever! - So special! The dog Bardo is soooo cute! He helped us find a lot of truffles and was so lovely the whole time! The land is beautiful as well.

Fascinating and fun! - This was a wonderful experience with the trainer helping us learn about truffles and the dog training. All 8 of us, 12-80 years old were fascinated. Then we had a gourmet truffle lunch with wine that was delicious. Best trip of our two weeks in Italy!

Truffle hunting first time experience - We had a wonderful experience. Gemma and Her partner And Barto Were amazing. We learned a great deal from very skilled truffle hunters. We saw many black Summer truffles. We enjoyed the couple from Lithuania. We explored beautiful countryside and had an amazing hike. Thank you very much!
