Wonderful history lesson! - We had a wonderful day learning the history, not just of Assisi, but of the entire Umbrian region. Marica was so passionate about the subject and the area, she made the day so much fun and interesting. We're so glad we were able to learn about this beautiful area! Lots of walking but plenty of times to rest, so it was easily done.

Delightful tour in all ways! - Our guide, Werner, was very knowledgeable and easy to hear and understand. There were eight of us on the tour which meant we were able to move easily together. It was just the right length (2 hrs 45 min) and had six main stops and the distance covered was quite manageable. However, be prepared for long sets of stairs and ramps down to the Basilica of St. Francis at the end of the tour. We were able to get a taxi back easily. I highly recommend this tour!
