Once further into the forest you will be among some of the most mature stands of Lesser Antillean Dry Forest left in the Eastern Caribbean, one of the most endangered habitats on Earth! The trees will shade you from the sun and moderate the temperature. This is the ideal habitat for some of the endemic species such as the Grenadine Pink Rhino Iguana and the Union Island Gecko. If you are lucky your guide will locate individuals for you to see.
Further along the trail turns towards the peak of Mt Taboi and becomes progressively steeper. But the effort is well worth it for the reward of the stunning panoramic views from the top.
