• Pisgah National Forest - Your guide will assist you in choosing a hike from more than 1,000 miles of trails in Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or along the Blue Ridge Parkway! Travel time varies based on the selected hike; driving time usually ranges from 20 to 60 minutes.

Embark on an unforgettable night hike during the local firefly season! A knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the local firefly species, with 17 varieties found in Western NC. This adventure is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts eager to experience a remarkable natural event.

Red light flashlights will be supplied to all participants, as white light can disrupt the fireflies’ natural mating rituals. The tour is open to individuals aged 14 and above, and closed-toe shoes are required. We kindly request that participants refrain from taking photos or videos during the hike.

The hike proceeds regardless of weather conditions! Participants should come prepared for any weather, bringing a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water.
