Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park - Drive to Lake Manyara National Park (95kms, 1.hrs). Game viewing in the park with picnic lunches. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing

Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi - Drive to Lake Eyasi (80kms, 1.5hrs )with picnic lunches. The region around Eyasi is the home of the Hadzabe and Datoga communities who continue their ancient lifestyle of hunting-gathering and pastoralism respectively. The pace and experiences are much more tranquil, giving you plenty of time to absorb the natural setting of the 405-square mile (1050 sq. km) lake that is situated at 3400 feet above sea level. Located in one of the oldest sections of the Eastern Rift Valley, Lake Eyasi is near many of the region’s off-beat landmarks, such as Oldeani Mountain on the northeast Ngorongoro part of the lake, the swampy valley of Yaeda to the southeast and Serengeti just north. In contrast to the savannah and arid plains of other parts of northern Tanzania, Lake Eyasi offers tall palm trees along its shores and a variety of avi-fauna, such as Fischer’s lovebird, flamingo, pelican, spurfowl, stork, barbet, weaver and many others.

Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi - Morning at Eyasi with picnic lunches. Afternoon drive to Karatu (60kms, 1hr)

Ngorongoro crater

Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast, with picnic lunches drive to Ngorongoro (50kms, 1hr). Descend the crater for an afternoon tour of the crater. We will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a full day’s safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos.
