Arrival at JRO - Transfer to Arusha

Arusha - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, the driver guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your first hotel in Arusha. The journey offers numerous opportunities for learning and discovery. If something piques your interest or you wish to learn more about something along the way, feel free to ask the driver guide to stop for a closer look. You will arrive at the lodge in time for check-in and a brief rest before dinner.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, with a picnic lunch in hand, you will head to Tarangire National Park, known as Tanzania’s elephant headquarters. The morning and afternoon are dedicated to exploring this magnificent park. Enjoy lunch at one of the picnic sites and continue the game drive in other areas of the park. The park offers rewarding big game viewing, with countless animals such as giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and lions. The Tarangire River, the park’s main water source, attracts a variety of wildlife. While leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas may be spotted, they are rare, making sightings a matter of chance. After the game drive, you will proceed to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game enroute Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, you will depart the lodge at 7:30 for Serengeti National Park, with game viewing en route. The journey passes through the rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you might encounter wildlife such as baboons, vervet monkeys, warthogs, and buffalo. Upon entering the Serengeti, you will be greeted by Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and the vast number of ungulates roaming the grassy plains. You will head straight to camp for check-in and lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. In the evening, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, embark on a full day of exploration in the Serengeti, one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves. This day-long adventure is likely to be a highlight, as the wonders of the Serengeti unfold. Discover the park’s iconic wildlife during the early morning game drive. If interested, you can opt for a balloon safari, which concludes with a champagne breakfast amidst the grasslands. Explore the Serengeti “Kopjes,” massive granite boulders that provide shelter to diverse flora and fauna. Return to the camp for lunch, then head out again for an afternoon game drive around 15:00. As dusk approaches, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch for Ngorongoro Crater. Explore the wildlife in this self-contained ecosystem, where wild animals and humans coexist harmoniously. Descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed mountain believed to have eroded millions of years ago. Enjoy a game drive to search for various animals, including endangered black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, and large flocks of flamingos along Lake Magadi. Have lunch at one of the park’s picnic sites, then continue exploring other areas of the park. After this exciting game drive, ascend the crater and drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Drive Back to Arusha/ Fly to Zanzibar

Zanzibar Island - After breakfast at the lodge, savor your last moments in Northern Tanzania as you drive back to Arusha. En route, visit a school to learn more about education in Tanzania by spending time with teachers and children. Arrive in Arusha in time for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. After lunch, enjoy the SHANGA Tour, a social enterprise that employs people with disabilities to create unique, high-quality handmade jewelry, glassware, and homewares using recycled materials. These products are sold in the Shanga shop in Tanzania and worldwide, with profits reinvested to create more employment opportunities for people with disabilities. After the excursion, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

This stunning beach offers a variety of activities, including walking tours, diving excursions, and parasailing, among others.
