ARRIVAL IN TANZANIA

Arusha - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania, guests will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Arusha city for an overnight stay. Check-in will be followed by a visit from a safari expert for a briefing. Overnight accommodations will be at Greenland Hotel, Tulia Boutique Hotel, or a similar establishment, with dinner, bed, and breakfast included.

ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Tarangire National Park - After an early breakfast, guests will be picked up from their Arusha accommodation and taken to Tarangire National Park. This park is renowned for its impressive baobab trees and large elephant herds. Its sparse vegetation creates a stunning and unique setting, where up to 300 elephants can be seen searching for underground streams in the dry riverbeds, especially during the dry season from July to October. Migratory wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo also gather around the shrinking lagoons. An afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch will be enjoyed here.

MTO WA MBU TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION CRATER

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, the safari continues from Mto wa Mbu to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Guests will descend over 600 meters into the crater to observe wildlife. The area, supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, hosts a diverse range of animals, including lions, zebras, flamingos, elephants, and giraffes. Often called the eighth natural wonder, Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated as one of Africa’s most beautiful and unique places where humans and wildlife coexist. A visit to Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, is included. This lake is home to numerous flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. After the game drive in the late afternoon, guests will return to Fanaka Safari Lodge for an overnight stay.

FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN MANYARA NATIONAL PARK AND AIRPORT TRANSFER

Lake Manyara National Park - Following an early breakfast, guests will depart for a half-day game drive in Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions that rest on acacia branches six to seven meters above the ground, as well as tree-climbing pythons. Adjacent to the park is Mto wa Mbu, “The River of Mosquitoes,” a small village home to nearly all of Tanzania’s tribes, believed to be over 120, engaging in activities such as woodcarving, painting, and farming. After the game drive, guests will return to the campsite for a hot lunch before transferring to Arusha/Kilimanjaro International Airport for their journey home.
