Day 1: Nairobi to Arusha

Arusha - Begin your journey from Nairobi with a shuttle to Arusha. Stop at the Namanga Border for immigration formalities before continuing to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon. Check into the hotel in Arusha, which is reserved for bed and breakfast. Dinner is at your discretion.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara - After breakfast, travel west on a well-maintained tarmac road, through the gently undulating Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, observe many Maasai bomas and Maasai in their vibrant traditional attire walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts. After a two-hour drive, arrive at the Manyara gate, and proceed with a game drive. The first habitat is the underground forest with water seeping from the Rift Valley escarpment. Expect to see Hippos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Blue monkeys, and Baboons. Dinner and overnight stay at a basic fixed tent.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, take a picnic lunch and drive west across the gently rolling Ngorongoro highlands. Along the way, see Zebras and wildebeest grazing alongside Maasai cattle and young boys tending them, as well as Maasai villages (Bomas). Continue to Serengeti, stopping at the Nabi gate for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in central Serengeti with sightings of Lions, Hippos, Giraffes, Leopards, Reedbucks, and Elephants. Dinner and overnight stay at a basic fixed tent.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Start the day with an early morning game drive, as many animals are active at this time. Return to the camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. In the Seronera region, you will often see wildebeests and zebras near lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon reaching the crater rim, enjoy stunning views of this 600 m deep collapsed volcano. Stay at a basic fixed tent.

Day 5: Ngorongoro to Arusha

Arusha - After an early breakfast, leave the lodge and descend to the eighth wonder, home to possibly the largest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa, with an estimated average of 30,000 large mammals. This is also one of the best reserves in Africa to see Black Rhino. Other sightings include Lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, and Wildebeest. After lunch, drive back to Arusha to be dropped off at the Charity Hotel or catch a shuttle bus to Nairobi.
