Arusha to Tarangire

Tarangire National Park - At 7:30 AM, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch included. As Tanzania’s third-largest national park, Tarangire is renowned for its stunning baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which attract some of the continent’s largest elephant herds. On your game drive, keep an eye out for lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffes, and zebras. After an exciting day of wildlife encounters, you’ll return to your camp or lodge for a delightful dinner.

Tarangire full day game drives

Tarangire National Park - Your day starts with breakfast around 8 AM, followed by a full day of game viewing in Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its varied landscapes and nine different types of vegetation. As you explore, you’ll be greeted by the impressive Baobab trees that make even giraffes seem small. The park, covering 3,000 square kilometers, is named after the Tarangire River, which draws many animals. You’re likely to see elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, offering a great chance to see elephant families interacting. Make sure your camera is ready to capture the stunning scenery. After the game drive, you’ll return to your camp or lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful night before tomorrow’s adventure.

Transfer to Lake Natron (Bird Watching/ Flamingo Walk

Lake Natron - Your day starts with breakfast around 8:00 AM. We’ll then drive with packed lunch boxes to Lake Natron, which is about 3.5 hours from Mto Wa Mbu/Manyara. Lake Natron is a unique and fascinating place with its highly alkaline, shallow waters. After checking into your lodge and taking a short break, you’ll put on your walking shoes for a guided walk around the lake’s shores with a Maasai guide. You’ll look for birds, especially the lesser flamingos, which come in huge numbers during the breeding season from September to January. After your hike, you’ll return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful night.

Lake Natron to North Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - Your day begins early at 6:00 AM with a light hike to the Ngare Sero waterfalls, where you can enjoy the refreshing spray of the cascading water. Don’t forget your walking shoes! By 8:30 AM, we’ll head back to the lodge for breakfast before driving to Serengeti National Park.

On the way, you’ll pass through various landscapes, including towns, savannahs, and forests, and might spot antelope, wildebeest, and zebras. We’ll arrive in Serengeti in the afternoon and drive to the North Serengeti for an exciting game drive. You’ll have the chance to see the impressive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, or perhaps a pride of lions relaxing in the shade. Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive.

After a full day of adventure, you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

North Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - Alternatively, start your day with a 6:00 AM game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation, and then head out for an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch.

From mid-June to September, you may witness the dramatic Mara River crossings of the Great Migration, where wildebeest face fierce river currents and crocodiles. If you’re lucky, you might see this incredible event.

You might also explore the Lobo Valley, known for its stunning landscapes and abundant big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, especially during the dry season.

On your full-day game drive, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch and return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful night.

North Serengeti to Central Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - Start your day with a relaxed breakfast before heading out for game drives around 9:00 AM with a packed lunch. Alternatively, depart at 6:00 AM for an early game drive, return for breakfast and relaxation, and then head to Central Serengeti with a packed lunch.

The four-hour drive to Central Serengeti offers light game viewing and takes you through diverse landscapes, including the Mara River valley, hill country, Lobo area, and woodlands, finally reaching Seronera.

Seronera, known for its rich wildlife and the Seronera River, attracts many animals. The terrain shifts from hilly to open grasslands, and the area is renowned for its lion prides. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch during your drive and return to your accommodation for a hearty dinner and a restful night.

Central Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - You can start your day with a relaxed breakfast and head out for a full day of game drives around 9:00 AM, with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge by late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Alternatively, leave at 6:00 AM for an early game drive, return for breakfast and relaxation, then go on an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch.

Today, you’ll explore the central Serengeti, known as the Seronera area, famous for its rich wildlife and the Seronera River, which attracts a variety of animals. This area is renowned for its lion prides, offering excellent game viewing year-round.

After a full day of game viewing, including a picnic lunch, you’ll return to the lodge by around 5:00 PM for a hearty dinner and a good night’s rest.

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later, head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, is a stunning natural wonder. Surrounded by extinct volcanoes, its floor is home to around 30,000 animals and features several watering holes.

After a day of exploration, return to your accommodation for a hearty dinner and a restful night.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) to Arusha

Arusha - On the last day of your safari, you’ll start early with a quick breakfast before descending into Ngorongoro Crater around 6:30 AM. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unfilled volcanic caldera, with a floor covering about 260 square kilometers and a depth of over 2,000 feet.

You’ll enjoy a 5-hour game drive on the crater floor, where you’ll see a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. Keep your camera handy for great shots. After a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, you’ll climb back up to exit the crater.

Your safari ends with a 4-hour drive back to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your chosen location by 6:00 PM. With unforgettable experiences and many memories, it’s time to say goodbye to your team.
