Highlights

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - Your Tanzania Safari begins on day one after breakfast. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven directly to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch. As you embark on a game drive in the heart of the park, expect to see herds of elephants ranging from 10 to 20, and sometimes even up to 30. Keep an eye on the treetops for a chance to spot a leopard. You may also encounter buffalo, impala, zebras, warthogs, giraffes, and more. Explore the park until late evening before heading to the campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Mto wa mbu to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, pack all your camping gear into the safari jeep and depart for Serengeti via Manyara, passing through the Rift Valley escarpments. You have the option to visit a Masai village on your way to Serengeti. Arrive in Serengeti by evening and enjoy an evening game drive towards Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Crater - Start your day early at 6 am with a hot cup of coffee before leaving the campsite for a morning game drive in the heart of Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise, but remember to wear warm clothes as it can be chilly. Continue the game drive until mid-day, then return to camp for a full breakfast and lunch (brunch). Later, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a game drive en route to Ngorongoro Simba Campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater - On the final day of your Tanzania Safari, after breakfast, take a short drive to the descending gate and drive down to the crater floor, 650 meters deep, for a half-day crater tour. If you’re lucky, you might see a rhinoceros. The crater is home to several permanent resident animals due to its year-round water supply. Ascend back to the crater rim, return to camp for lunch, and then drive back to Arusha. This marks the end of your 4-day Tanzania camping safari.

Great, accurate and well done! - The tour is organized down to the smallest detail. The nights in the tent are really wild but safe and supervised. The guides are always smiling and available to answer all your curiosities about the animals. We were with Simon and he was always very nice to us. The chef, Matthew, pampered us at every meal with local foods, carefully prepared and truly delicious. If you have luggage to leave in their offices there are no problems, they will organize it and then have it returned to you in the place where it is most convenient for you. Kelvin, another Safari guide, who accompanied us to the airport is another kind person you need to meet. Suggestions: bring towels to wash yourself with (the showers in the camping sites are always very cold), bring a soft bag to put things in just for those days. Keep something warm with you (jumpers, waterproof jacket and sweatshirt) for the days in Ngorongoro. The nights there are cold. Sharpen your eyes and enjoy this immersion in the wild but beautiful life of the savannah!!!

Thank you Serengeti African Tours - My solo 4 day trip to Africa, Tanzania in late June to early July 2024 was a dream come true! Serengeti Safaris African tours delivered the best 4 day Safari experience I could ever dream about and I am considering another trip again. I got to see so many wild animals on my first day and by the fourth day I was lucky enough to see 4 of the big 5 animals of Africa! A dream come true especially for an animal enthusiast. A very big thank you to Simon who was the tour guide, coordinator and driver who made it all possible. He is very cheerful, friendly and professional, sharing his local knowledge of the wildlife and geography of Tanzania’s national parks. Matthew was the Private Chef delivering and cooking delicious meals all throughout the 4 day safari in allocated camps. He made the best soups, fresh bread and delicious African Chicken Casserole and many more. And lastly and most importantly I commend Linah for the excellent and professional communication service that got me to experience the great safari adventure. My enquiry turned to reality because of the honesty and convincing information provided about Serengeti African Tours. I highly recommend Serengeti African Tours to anyone thinking of a safari experience in the future. Tanzania is a beautiful country with hospitable and friendly citizens rich with culture and traditions and they are proud to share their flora and fauna with the rest of the world.

Great four-day safari! - We went on a four-day safari to Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro national parks and had an amazing experience. Christian was a great guide and knew where to drive us and at what time (even if it included 6am) in order to get close-up shots of most of the animals, also by communicating with other guides by radio. Matthew was our cook and he did a great job. Every meal was delicious. The tents and the camping sites were nice (including free animal noises during the night), with decent facilities. Lucas (the boss) provided us in advance with all the information we needed and was very responsive. Overall, the trip was great and we definitely recommend Serengeti African Tours !

Fair price for an amazing experience - Really not much to say, other than amazing experience. Our guide, Christian, in combination with our cook, Mathew, were the perfect duo to make this experience perfect. Christian was dedicated to give our group the best time ever, he helped spot the animals, and only left a spot when everyone was satisfied. Apart from this he’s also a skilled driver. Mathew was very passionate about his cooking. He gave detailed explanations on how he prepared the food and did not want to make the same meal twice. Prior to the safari, the communication with the company was very good as well. They also gifted us a t-shirt for the trip. All in all, amazing experience, super friendly communication, wonderful guide, and you get your moneys worth.

Nice - still remember the first picture of African it amazing how wildlife moves example wildbeest how predator hunts prey it's amazing yellow grass, broken only by flat-topped acacia trees and the odd strolling giraffe, all set beneath the dome of a perfect blue sky. Well here’s the good news – it really does exist. Tanzania is most amazing place where you will forget all your stress and you will enjoy also many activities example materuni and coffee tour my kids really enjoy we did 7 day but it was not enough next year we will plan another safari with Serengeti African Tours

Simply Amazing! - I contacted this company from Spain, from the very beginning Lucas provided me with all the information I requested. Once there, everything was wonderful, the organization, both the driver Kelvin and our guide Abu, and our wonderful chef Richard, they work many hours and do an exceptional job. On the first day of safari, we saw the Big 5 😍 it was wonderful! Then my partner and I had some problems with our credit cards to book flights to Zanzibar and Lucas didn't hesitate to help us, we are very grateful to this company. Without a doubt, I highly recommend them... if we return to Zanzibar without hesitation, they will be our trusted company! Thank you Serengeti African Tours for all the services! Highly recommended

Disaster! Irresponsible, unreliable, unprepared, ineffective, inefficient and careless. - If you can pay more, do it! These guys are not a good option. 1st - our guide Ezequiel was more of a driver than a guide. Didn’t give us much information, and quite often we spotted the animals before him. 2nd - we had 3 flat tires in 3 days!!! Which is already quite suspicious, in addition to the spares being absolutely cracked and old. 3rd - we pay this much and end up sleeping in broken sleeping bags in tents in PUBLIC campings. 4th - 10 minutes after changing the 3rd tire, around 2pm, the the axle of the car broke and the entire wheel along with the brake came out of the car!!!! Dangerous, luckily was one of the back wheels. Within an hour they managed reroute another car, and packed the people (12 people where must be only 8, what I’m pretty sure is ilegal) and the contents of both cars in one car. We were extremely uncomfortable, sitting on somebody elses luggage, cold as f#*€ because the top of the car had to be left open in order to fit everything and everyone. Was an emergency, so I get it. Which leads us to the 4th - in the morning of the next day we were told that there wasnt a car for us yet, but, it would be one for us between 7h30-8am in Ngorongoro crater. They had over 16h to find us a car and failed! So we were packed again, 10 in the same 8 people car, but ok. When we got to the crater, the car wasn’t there in the accorded time. So we begun the Game Drive having to take turns to see and take pictures, quite uncomfortable, stepping on each other. While watching the animals, we spotted a car from the same company with just two people inside. We said to Simba, our guide, that it was a ridiculous situation, we were packed while a car from the same company was almost empty. And the driver simply drove off the game drive and made us wait for the other car in a picknick area in the border of the crater, waisting our game drive time. We waited sitting for over an hour there. The other car arrived was almost 10am! And wasnt a car for us, there was already people there! 2h30 min later than expected. After that we had 2h of what could be a 4h30 game drive on one of the most fascinating biomes of the globe! When we asked for a refund they offered 50dlls for each of us 3. What would be 5% of the amount we payed, which is not even close enough to pay for the damage they did in out dream vacation. He said that he was sorry, and because of that i should let go. But he would only give me this ridiculous amount of money only if I didn’t make this review, so on top of irresponsible, unreliable, unprepared, ineffective, inefficient and careless, they tried to bribe us. You deserve better
