Amazing summit - Our very good and well experienced guide and assistant guide did a tremendous job. They helped us and practiced their skills on the last day of climbing Mount Meru where we found it had to hike up to the summit. The trick of walking slowly and handling almost half of the normal consumed oxygen meant that we are at the risk of dying. We had oxygen tanks which we had to use at certain times. I actually felt dizzy and headaches but because the guides had good training they were able to help me to cope with the altitude and I was back on the trekking track hence, I made it.

Amazing experience - I was glad to have this experience arranged by Burigi Chato Safaris who helped trekkers to summit at higher rates than many other companies. I was amazed by the beauty of Mount Meru. The track is very clean and lacks foot prints as many trekkers do not use it. Thank you Geofrey for an excellent experience that you delivered to me.

We made it - Our guide encouraged us to keep going to the summit. The few porters that helped us kept signing for us since the challenging part was to get to peak on the summit night. There was a very steep hike going up was not easy. I was met by a group of porters after the summit who sang and danced for us the songs of joy and congratulations.

We went up the Mountain and manage to get to the top - The crew motivated us with songs. We felt motivated to conquer the quest ahead of us We had a very great local team. Our guide had extensive intelligence about the mountain. He seemed brave as he loves adventures and even told us about one time he had to walk on the mountain alone in the night. Everything was scheduled so that we reach the summit during sunrise. There are few things you look at and feel like crying the tears of joy and overwhelming heart and this is one of them.

Mount Meru Summit - Because the path hasn’t been used by many people it at times feel like you are going through some fresh un-bitten tracks that takes you to the summit. I was happy to have booked this trek with Burigi Chato Safaris who ensured that we had abundance of supplies throughout the trek. Some of the best things about this route was the scenery. The moment I saw Wildlife. The crew was excellent performing their jobs to take me through the route with which we hardly met other people.

Do not give up on the last night. - The final night before the summit is hard in the early morning when seeking to summit. Draw your mental stamina to make it. My guide helped me with few tricks that made me feel confident. I am glad I did it and after I was at the highest peak in Africa I got the sense of a goal getter and the spirit of a winner. I am thanking all the crew members from Burigi Chato Safaris

Remarkable Experience - I will not say that my words can describe the remarkable experience we had on the mountain. I will say that in a short summary I will try to describe why Mount Meru is special and try to give you a snippet of how my experience with Burigi Chato Safaris was. The crew carried two oxygen tanks which we took with us to the summit and never used but, this was a very good precaution provided that there is limited oxygen on Kilimanjaro’s highest peak. The crew had a total of nine members with whom each had a special task that added up to making our experience amazing. The chief guide instructed us to walk slowly since it increases chances to make it to the summit. Walking poles are very useful make sure to get a pair of well working poles. The transfer to gate is always a responsibility of the tour operation company taking you to the summit.
