Great safari - Seeing animals in their natural environment was amazing! Our driver Florian made sure we saw the « Big Five », before our last day. We were joined by our chef Elia Bongue Rasheed who made sure we ate well, and every meal was different, from authentic food to great pizza and fresh fries and made sure we were not hungry.
Amazing experience, great memories were made.
I would simply advise you to take a hot coat with you for the night in Ngorongoro crater.

Kelvin, Elia and Florien, super trio - The point of views were amazing! The driver Florien was amazing, quick and has alot of experience. Elia Bonge (Rachid), aka the chef, cooked great meals for us, had always a smile and shared his experience in Tanzania. Kelvin responded super quickly, very efficient and helpful (before and surfing). I recommand all 3 for your safari!

Hectic, but Unforgettable - I was originally going to give 4/5 stars because there were several logistical issues with the safari, but when my wife and I were wrongfully detained at the airport by the police upon leaving, Amalchius and Edson from Meru Slopes came at 11 pm at night to vouch for us, help us, and take us back to the airport when we were released. This episode was completely unplanned for and they even accommodated our trip to Serval Wildlife the day after the safari. Phenomenal support for us when all was said and done.
My only complaint was that our 4-day safari was booked with varying other itineraries. So we spent too much time traveling between lodge and campsite to accommodate different people in our group. We could have spent much more time in the parks if we weren't waiting for other people to show up or wasting time picking up people at different locations. This caused some frustration, but ultimately, Godfrey's (our guide) ability to spot animals helped us get many close and good encounters with all the animals (except Cheetah). The tour could have been better if our guide was more talkative or informative and let us know where we were going and what the plan was. Most the time we were unaware where we were going, but pleasantly surprised when we arrived at a tree with a leopard, etc.
All in all. I recommend Meru Slopes, they were highly accommodating and made it a trip to remember despite the logistical issues.

MAY’25 Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro - We booked the combination of the 4 day Mt. Meru climb and Safari. In here I will only review the safari as the combined package is not an option to choose to review.
For our tour guide we had Nuru who is a true walking encyclopaedia. He knows soooo much about animals and the environment. He can also tell you a lot about the Masai tribe. During our game drives he really took the time to answer all our questions and tell us stories of the animals and surroundings. His favorite slogan is ‘Hakuna matata’ he’s a very relaxed guy and a real professional. Also a very sharp eye. He can spot an animal from kilometers far away.
The jeep safari cars have wifi on board and you can charge your devices to never be out of power to photograph the animals.
The game drives are good but quite long and the road is bumpy (car sickness) so please reconsider this also when booking the safari
It was a great experience but in my personal opinion I would recommend doing the Serengeti 2 days (especially the basic camp sites) en 1 day Ngorongoro as I find the time that you’re in the vehicle very long. And after seeing Serengeti and Ngorongoro I think Tarangire does not really bring that extra’s
When it came to the food. The cook Elija (Bonge) always prepared fresh food for us. The food was always good but sometimes we wished a little more variation. That’s also because the meals were roughly the same during the hike!
Finally, please don’t underestimate or forget about tips. Altough it’s not the biggest amount it can really count up after several days

A fantastic safari with Meru Slopes! - A fantastic safari with Meru Slopes!
We completed a 4-day safari in May with Godfrey and Bonge.
This was our first safari experience and with Godfrey as our guide we had an amazing time. Godfrey was so knowledgeable about the animals and areas we visited, he spotted animals that we would have never seen if it wasn’t for her incredible ability to see the wildlife!
The food was also a highlight for us, with lots of options and super tasty, Chef Bonge was the best!
We camped for 2 nights and really enjoyed the experience being immersed with nature, Simba campground was definitely the best campground for us!
Meru Slopes is extremely professional, organized and responsive to your needs.
Kelvin, in the main office, was excellent, he answered all our questions and took care of all logistics, giving us great advice and always so fast to answer, it made it so easy for us as we didn’t know how to start when organizing our first safari.
We would highly recommend if you’re looking for your next safari adventure in Tanzania. And when you’re booking, don’t forget to ask for Godfrey and Bonge to make your experience extra special.

Phenomenal Safari with Meru Slopes tours - Had an amazing experience. Meru Slopes really took care of us from start to finish. Shadrack was so helpful and even when I bombarded him with questions unrelated to our safari (visas, yellow fever certificates etc) he was most helpful and patient. We were pleased to have transfers included and felt well looked after.
Our driver Florian was fantastic, very knowledgeable and was always quick to get us in the right spots for amazing viewings. We went in rainy season and the roads were challenging at best, we even saw one safari jeep stuck in the mud slightly tipped over and Florian helped get them out. Florian's driving skills were amazing.
Being rainy season did not negatively impact our viewing but enhanced it as we saw a cheetah with 3 cubs and baboons with babes among others. Florian was even very patient when taking us to leave at our accommodation at the end only to realise that it didn't exist and was probably a scam. He helped us find other accommodation quickly and ensured we arrived with pizza.
Our food during the safari was great, Gadi did a fab job and as we had several vegetarians he catered for us perfectly.
The camping was amazing even throughout a huge lightening storm but the tents were perfectly adequate and we were warm and dry. It was incredible to hear lions, hyenas and zebra in the night.
Such and amazing experience and if I am ever fortunate enough to go back again I will certainly give Meru Slopes a call to arrange it.

Best trip ever - really good arrangement and guide. Our guide Robert is the best guide, he knows well about the landscape, animals and culture, always be able to find what we want. The place is beautiful and hotel is nice, a trip over expectations.

Great - Went on a 4 day safari with guide Robert. Was a lot of fun and he realy did his best showing us al the animals.
When me and my friend had trouble getting a hotel and transfer to the airport he fixes it for us without asking.

Amazing Safari experience!! - The whole experience was just so amazing! We saw so many beautiful animals, and beautiful nature! We saw all the big 5 og so much more 😍. Our driver Jacob and our cook Bonge was so so sweet, and had everything under control the whole time. Everything was planned and went smooth.
Would recommend everyone to use Meru Slopes!

Unforgettable... - Everything was perfect!! From our arrival until departure Meru Slopes pampered us..
The meals were delicious..
Our guide Asantaé was too kind..he gave us lots of explanations about animals..
We could see the animals much closer than we could have imagined... it was beautiful!!!
Meru Slopes is really a serious agency..that responds quickly to our SMS..
The value for money is unbeatable.
Really happy with our choice..
