Tarangire National Park from Arusha

Tarangire National Park - The guide will collect guests from their hotel in Arusha and transport them to Tarangire National Park for an exciting full-day game drive, including a picnic lunch. This park, the third largest in Tanzania, is famous for its majestic baobab trees that offer shade to the wildlife beneath. The Tarangire River is a significant feature of the park, hosting one of Africa’s largest elephant herds, along with a rich variety of large mammals and bird species. After the game drive, guests will be taken to their accommodation in Karatu or Mto wa Mbu for a delightful dinner and relaxation.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast, guests will embark on a 1-hour journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where they will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting wildlife viewing adventure. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is celebrated as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, with the crater serving as a vital sanctuary for a wide range of animals. Visitors are likely to see magnificent elephant bulls and the endangered black rhino. The crater is also home to large herds of wildebeest and zebra, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, hippopotamuses, Cape buffalo, prides of lions, hyenas, serval cats, golden and black-backed jackals, and nearly 400 bird species. Lunch will be enjoyed on the crater floor.

Materuni Waterfalls

Materuni Waterfalls - After breakfast at the hotel, the guide will pick up guests and head to Materuni Village. Upon arrival, guests should check in at the village office to start their day of adventure. The first stop will be the waterfalls, a brief 40-minute walk away. Guests should bring swimwear, as the pool at the base of the falls is perfect for a refreshing swim. After enjoying the breathtaking views, guests will take a leisurely walk back to Materuni Village with their guide. Here, they will savor a traditional Chagga lunch and have the chance to taste local banana beer. Following this, guests will experience the coffee process, learning about growing, drying, roasting, and preparing coffee. They can even participate in grinding the coffee while enjoying Chagga music and dance—a delightful way to engage with the local culture. Finally, after this enriching cultural experience, guests will be transferred to their chosen hotel in Arusha or the airport.
