Lake Manyara National Park - Begin your adventure with a pick-up at 8:30 AM from your hotel in Arusha, heading to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. As you enter the park, the lush Acacia and Mahogany forests create an inviting atmosphere for the exciting day ahead. The game drive continues until evening, with a break for a picnic lunch. Keep an eye out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys. A highlight of Lake Manyara National Park is the tree-climbing lions, though spotting them requires a bit of luck. During the right season, the shoreline transforms into a pink spectacle with millions of flamingos. After the game drive, return to your Rhotia Valley lodge for a delightful dinner.
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - On the final day of your safari, start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the crater floor around 6:30 AM. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, featuring a vast floor of approximately 260 sq km and a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor offers plenty of wildlife action, so keeping your camera ready is highly recommended. You’ll encounter African elephants, buffalo, Black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in abundance. After enjoying a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo pool, begin the steep ascent to the crater’s top exit. This marks the final leg of your safari, with a 4-hour drive back to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off at your chosen location in Arusha by 6:00 PM. With an unforgettable experience and cherished memories, it’s time to bid farewell to your team.
