If you plan to venture off the main roads and instead take the graveled road, using a 4×4 safari vehicle is essential when entering the Ngorongoro Crater.
Departure from Arusha is scheduled for 6:00am, with the first stop being the Loduare gate for registration. From there, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable tour of this vast natural amphitheater, covering 2590 square kilometers (100 square miles). This unique landscape is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including the potential to spot rhinos, elephants, lions, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Later in the afternoon, you will exit the crater and return to Arusha for an overnight stay, arranged independently.
