The unknown world of bananas - Way beyond my expectations! Lots of unknown facts, really surprising. The hacienda and the program is 10/10. Fatima is very nice and funny. Thanks a lot for this experience.

Excellent tour (directions to/from cruise port via public bus) - Fatima was an excellent guide! We very much enjoyed the informative tour and tasting. If you are visiting from the cruise port (Muelle de Cruceros, Mlle. de Transbordadores, 2, 35008 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain), you can take public buses, which we found to be easy (the directions below may seem overwhelming in writing, but I just wanted to include any information you might need ahead of time, especially if not a native speaker, and needing to inquire with anyone for direction). You can choose to walk approx one mile and take only one bus, or walk less with one transfer each way. Walk with 1 bus, no connection: Begin your travel at the outbound stop for the 210 (GLOBAL - L210 Arucas) blue bus: Ambulatorio De Alcaravanera 35010 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain (more precise address 4HM7+CF Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain). Take the 210 blue bus to the El Lomito bus stop. The accurate address to the building where the tour starts is: Cam. del Laurel, 10, 35413 Arucas, Las Palmas, Spain, which is a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop. To return to the cruise port, the 210 bus (GLOBAL - L210Las Palmas de G.C.) will pick up directly across the street from where you were dropped off. If you don't mind a little bit of a walk, you can end at the Av. Jose Mesa Y Lopez (Cs Alcaravaneras) bus stop and only need the 210 bus (35010 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain; more precise address 4HM7+CH Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain). It's approx 1 mile/20 minutes from the port. Less walking with 2 buses/1 connection: Walk to the Santa Catalina bus station (Intercambiador Santa Catalina, C. Pérez Muñoz, 1, 35008 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain; more precise address 4HRC+3J Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain) Take one of several bus lines to the Mesa y López (C.S. Alcaravaneras) bus stop (35010 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain; more precise address 4HM7+CF Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain). You'll need to walk across a very short distance to the adjacent stop at Ambulatorio De Alcaravanera (35010 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain (more precise address 4HM7+CF Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain ) and take the 210 blue bus (GLOBAL - L210 Arucas) to the El Lomito bus stop. If you'd prefer to connect to another bus with less of a walk, get off at stop Av. Jose Mesa Y Lopez (Cs Alcaravaneras) (more precise address 4HM7+CH Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain). You'll need to walk across a very short distance to Mesa y López (C.S. Alcaravaneras) (35010 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain; more precise address 4HM7+CH Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain). The stops are similarly named and adjacent. There you can connect to several buses to get back to Intercambiador Santa Catalina 35007, Las Palmas, Spain, (more precise address: 4HRC+3J Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain). Each bus ride is approx 1.50 Euros per person, and can be paid with a credit card or cash.

Highly recommended. - We had the tour with Julio. With wit, charm and a lot of passion, he brought us closer to the world of bananas and all the important information about the plantation. He brought everything closer in a simple and good way and did not answer any questions. The tour is absolutely recommended.
