Amberd Fortress - The history of Amberd dates back to the 7th century when Armenian princes Kamsarakan initiated the construction of the fortress. Over time, a small outpost evolved into a well-fortified stronghold. However, the Kamsarakans had to transfer this strategic location to another Armenian noble family, the Pahlavuni, who made it their residence. The esteemed commander Vagram Pahlavuni, who lived in the 11th century, ordered the fortification of the Amberd complex and the construction of a church later named in his honor – Vagramashen.

Kari Lake - Lake Kari is a freshwater lake in Armenia, located on the slopes of Mount Aragats. It sits 3,185 m above sea level and has a perimeter of 1,150 m. Its depth reaches up to 8 m, with a volume of 375,000 m2, and it covers a surface area of 0.12 km2. It formed in a u-shaped valley enclosed by moraines. The lake’s water is clear and cold, primarily sourced from precipitation. It remains frozen for 8–9 months each year.
