Arraial do cabo - A highly recommended tour, a paradise place, excellent guides, very good food, the best caipirinhas we tried, and good boat agency. We recommend it 100% to go alone, as a couple or as a family. We'd do it again.

Go to the camp with Marcelo Lindo!!!😜 - Beautiful place. Wonderful beach. Boat tour with music and bar with that top caipirinha. The guide Marcelo (pretty Marcelo) very friendly. Explains everything about tour and about the top places of Arraial. Landscape top. Foot on fine and white sand. Lunch with homemade food. Uma delícia . Transportation with air conditioning and bathroom. The best of Rio de Janeiro with City Rio.

Rio as a family - Very nice family excursion. Leaving Rio by bus, it takes 3 hours drive but worth it. 6h cruise with swimming in blue waters full of fish, 3 stops + the last for the meal. Very nice. What to do if you stay at least 1 week in the Rio area.

MARAVILHOSO!!! - It was amazing!!! Everyone on the tour is great. I felt super comfortable and welcomed. I loved our Guide, Ju. Super friendly, requested and available. And I still got engaged there. I mean, all wonderful ❤️

A beautiful beach. No English speaking guide - I enjoyed this tour. It was a shame that the English speaking guide advertised was not provided. I was told this was due to the scheduled guide having a health issue. I can see from previous reviews that other travelers have also not had an English speaking guide. The guide on the day did her best to communicate some key information via google translate and the beach itself was beautiful.

Beautiful place, excursion left much to be desired - The tour I made to Arraial do Cabo with City Rio had some positive points and others that could be improved. The prior notice about the winds, with the possibility of refund, was a nice care on the part of the company. However, there were some details that compromised the experience: 1. The tour was not conducted by the City Rio team, but by Pepe Rio Tours. At no time was this communicated, which generated some surprise. It's not a big problem, but an interesting explanation would have been, since many choose the company for the reputation and the exchange got a little confused. 2. There was a slight delay in the arrival of the group, which is understandable, but we ended up waiting more than half an hour in Copacabana for people coming from Barra da Tijuca. This ended up delaying our departure by about an hour. The distance between the points does not really favor joining these groups. 3. With this delay, we ended up arriving in Arraial around 12h40, which reduced the time available to take advantage of the place, and meant we had lunch almost 15h. 4. The transportation in Arraial was also not the most organized. The logistics with the taxis was done on time, without prior planning, which left us waiting in some moments for 5, 10 or even 20 minutes to get transport, which could be better coordinated. 5. The bus between Rio and Arraial was not very comfortable. I am a person of 1,70m and still, I had difficulty with leg space. I had to change places to be a little more comfortable on the ride. The space on many of the seats was similar to that of the last row of a seven-seater car, like the Chevrolet Spin. 6. Besides, the tour was quite full. In Arraial, we struggled to get enough taxis for everyone. On the return, the bus was completely crowded, which made me travel in the last row, tight among other people (there were 5 people side by side), in a bench that was only 100% reclined, which was not very comfortable. In the middle of the turn, I switched seats with one of the people next to me who could no longer have the knee pressed in the front seat. After all, although these points individually are understandable, together they ended up damaging the experience a bit. Arraial do Cabo, on the other hand, is a beautiful place, really worth a visit. My suggestion is to go with more time to enjoy the region calmly. If the idea is a day trip, it might be more interesting to enjoy the beaches of Rio.

A long journey for a few minutes of enjoyment - It's a 12 hour walk but it's actually 50 minutes of restricted beach. It's something travelers who go to and from the same day aren't warned about.

DO NOT BOOK - Disappointing Tour Experience – Don’t book I booked this tour based on confirmation from the tour operator that it would be conducted in English. However, to our surprise, the tour guide did not speak any English. He attempted to use Google Translate, but the information provided was minimal and unreliable. Thankfully, some fellow travelers stepped in to help translate key details. The tour was supposed to be a three-hour excursion, yet it turned out to be a disorganized affair. Instead of a coherent itinerary, we experienced three stops of around 40 minutes each, one on an island that didn’t match the advertised island and two swimming stops with no fish! Due to delays with boarding and disembarking a mini boat to get to the island, we only managed about 15 minutes on an overcrowded island that offered no shade and a very limited area for swimming—making it nearly impossible to enjoy the water. Lunch was another major letdown. At around 6 pm, we were taken to a venue labeled as a “restaurant,” but it was far from acceptable. The place was extremely dirty, with insects crawling over the tables, and the staff’s clothes were beyond dirty. The hygiene was appalling—dishes were washed in a makeshift area right next to the toilets. We couldn’t eat anything there and had to rely on a small snack until we returned to our hotel at 10 pm. Overall, this tour was a waste of a full day and the worst tour experience I have ever had. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
