Awesome! - Awesome experience. Would be better if the vans were air conditioned , it was very warm . But guides were great and worth the money!

Delighted! - We were truly delighted with our two days covering the East and West Side of the Island of Madeira. Our guides, Gloria on day one and Lionel on day two were both excellent, great humour from Lionel too! They both shared a lot of knowledge about the Island, history and other useful facts. On top of this, the price of the two days utilising my Blue Light Card made great value for money compared with our tour operators prices. Highly recommended!

Great tour with Mr. P Coelho - Honestly it was an awesome tour! Both days Mr. P Coelho made our tour a super nice experience… I’m really glad both days he was our tour guide! Even the first day we had a bit of rain he tried to make it up showing us a few other things! I really appreciate his hard work explaining us thoroughly every single stop and while driving showing us interesting spots too. Recommended! And hopefully you get our tour guide!

Wonderful tour - This is a perfect way to see a large amount of the island. We had Gloria as a guide on our first day and Paolo on the second. They were extremely knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to have them as guides. Highly recommend the two day tour.

Awesome way to get to know the Island of Madeira. - Great way to visit the island. The views were unbelievable, breathtaking. Driver was very knowledgeable and very pleasant

Make sure you insist on Lionel as your guide!! - I just finished the 2 day tour and would totally recommend it if you want to get an overview of the island before exploring it yourself. It was easy to be able to enjoy the views without worrying about driving and parking on often treacherous places along the roadside. I have given the tour 4stars as an aggregate of both days. Day 1 with tour leader Gloria was not great but Day 2 with Lionel was fantastic! He was so a knowledgeable, friendly and kind and humorous - especially as our group was bilingual and his commentary and jokes had to switch between English and Portuguese. If you are thinking of doing this tour make sure you have Lionel as you guide!! Unfortunately Day 1 with Gloria was not enjoyable - she had brought her daughter with her and her daughter occupied the best two seats on the minibus which seemed inappropriate for some of the older/taller paying passengers. Also she only talked about the various fruit trees and was not friendly at all. The worst part was she coughed the entire 8hours and said she was losing her voice … not surprisingly I’m feel unwell today and can’t help but think it was her coughing and sharing germs all day yesterday that has made me sick! The views oh Madeira are sensational but having a great guide like Lionel makes the tour truly amazing!

Rural areas, high mountains and peace and tranquility, what is not to like outside of Funchal city? - An excellent way to see and explore the whole of Madeira outside of Funchal city. On the West tour our guide was full of interesting facts and figures and showed us all the places of interest our companions would hope to see. Touring in a group of just 14 meant keeping to time schedules and hearing the guide’s commentary were easy. A few well-chosen anecdotes and plenty of humour made for a relaxing and very enjoyable tour. For the East side of Madeira we were subjected to high winds in the mountain areas which spoiled things, but the scenery was wonderful and our guide kept us moving according to plan. We had sixteen companions on this trip, but the number was manageable and the chat with our guide was interesting. If you want to see and learn about Madeira in just two days, this is the tour for you.

Misleading and terrible - This is a promised 16 person only excursion and it was not as promised. The first day it was a small van that barely accommodated the people on board. It was tight and rushed and not recommended. The tour guide did not explain much about anything the first day, except she kept complaining about the fruits that people would not eat that went about wasting in the natural environment. She also had a very bad attitude and was rude if people were on time instead of being early back to the van. On the second day, it was a big old motor coach with more than 40 people. I specifically pick small group tours because I don't like touring with a big group of people. The tour guide was hard to hear at time because of the large number of people. I asked for a refund and was denied. My advice is to stay away from this tour because you are not getting what was promised which is a small group of 16. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
