Excursion really to do - Spectacular view..... it is better to go at least as far as the cable car takes you. Given the altitude do not fatigue on the trails and seen sun and heat protect themselves with hat and glasses. But it's really worth it, especially if I know he's lucky enough to find a clear and cloudless day.

Mount teide - Well worth a visit to the " alien" landscape....you could believe you were on Mars...the stunning yet barren scenery tells the tale of a violent history and that teide wasn't the first or biggest volcano on the island...5 stars...well worth a visit HOWEVER....be warned...the cable car doesn't always run due to localised high winds...this information wasn't given to me as I'm handing my money over...I was pretty annoyed with the rep ( from a travel company that sounds a little like a fruit juice company...a clue its got a J and a 2 in its name) We did get our money back for the missed cable car element of the trip...high winds of course Lesson learned...hire a car for a couple of days in future.

GO FOR THE SUMMIT!!! - In the words of my 8 year old son “BEST DAY EVER!”. We caught the cable car to the viewing platform and climbed to the summit thereafter (permit required to access the summit). We spent 11 days in Tenerife and this was our last day excursion. We were lucky enough to access the summit of volcano with no other tourists around. We spent 30 minutes at the top taking photos and having a good look around at the crater and views. Things to note - If you drive like we did, the roads are long and winding. It’s about 70-90 minutes from most locations on the island. The drive is not for the faint hearted but is manageable. Parking was a bit of an issue. It’s super busy at any given time. We did get a space eventually but had to walk from the main road nearly to the cable car area at the base. Boarding is 20 minutes before you allocated cable car time. Be there or be square! They did leave without people who arrived late. If you are hoping to access the summit of the volcano you need to apply for a permit. We applied for this a number of months before our visit. Also, if you are going to attempt the summit be prepared for the altitude. Me and my son wholly underestimated the altitude situation. We had to stop nearly every 5 minutes to catch our breath. Took us around an hour to climbed to the top. Yes, parts of the track you will have to physically climb. Take plenty of water and snacks! All in all…. If you are going up there, go for the summit. Amazing experience and something me and my son will never forget!

Scenic route - The locations visited were very interesting and well worth seeing. The tour guide was not the most personable or friendly and didn’t seem to particularly enjoy his role. The driver was fantastic and a credit to the company - both super friendly and warm as well as a great driver. I would recommend skipping the set lunch and bringing your own snack. The meal was average, and time would be better spent wandering the gardens around the dragon tree.

In this tour they show... - In this tour they show you a volcano, masca and a tree. Nothing interesting! The guide Ivan told a lot about the island, but it wasn’t really interesting. At the interesting spots we stopped only a very short time. For example the beautiful masca …. We had no time to walk around. Probably because we had to wait for some guests at the restaurant, which didn’t finish on time. Few people were missing, the whole tour bus had to wait 35 minutes. Another point, Ivan led us into the restaurant without telling that it is not included and without telling alternative places for lunch. The restaurant stop was not good rated and overpriced. After all I can say that this tour was completely disappointed. It has a very good rating, but anyway, I Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

100% Money 0% Performance. HANDS OFF from this Agency!! - We were not picked up and waited for over 1 Hour on the pick up adress. No one has informed us about a delay or that the tour was cancelled. We called them and get the Information „bus is gone without us“. Of course we had to pay in advance. A refund was rejected without any reason.
