- Mount Aragats - Standing as the tallest peak in the Republic of Armenia, Mount Aragats reaches an impressive height of 4090 meters. This majestic four-peaked mountain is a favorite among climbers. A recommended stop on the way to the southern peak is Lake Kari, also known as Stone Lake, situated at an elevation of 3250 meters. From the summit, visitors are treated to breathtaking views: lush green valleys on one side, eternal snow and shimmering lakes on the others, and the legendary Mount Ararat shrouded in the mist of the Ararat Valley.
- Armenian Alphabet Monument - Located in the village of Artashavan, at the eastern base of Mount Aragats, the Armenian Alphabet Monument was established in 2005 to commemorate the 1600th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian alphabet. Designed by the renowned Armenian architect Jim Torosyan, the monument showcases the intricate stone carvings of the 39 Armenian letters. The Armenian alphabet, created by Saint Mesrop Mashtots, an Armenian linguist and ecclesiastical leader, has been used to write the Armenian language since 405 or 406 AD. It was originally composed of 36 letters and was completed during the Middle Ages to make the Bible accessible to Armenians and to promote Christianity.
- Amberd Fortress - The Amberd Fortress exemplifies the key architectural elements of medieval fortress construction. Built on a naturally fortified cape, Amberd served as a significant military stronghold for many years. Adjacent to this secular structure is a church, constructed in 1026 by Duke Vahram Pahlavuni.
