From the Mangue, the route follows the rocks towards the deserted Negros beach and, from there, to Ponta do Pai Vitório Beach. The path is quite uneven and requires good mobility to walk on the rocks.

A fast, but steep and closed trail leads to the Pai Vitório viewpoint, one of the most desired spots for taking selfies nowadays, revealing a spectacular view of Ponta and the beach with the same names. Downstairs, the beach with green waters and which is constantly visited by turtles, is a great option for diving. In addition to the optional bath, it is also possible to go around Ponta, exploring the rocks amidst the vegetation.

Mangue de Pedras stands out from global mangroves that typically grow in silty soil at river deltas; instead, it emerges on coarse sandy gravel without the influence of river water, relying solely on rainwater seeping into the earth.

Enhancing the distinct terrain, the area is adorned with towering trees whose roots intertwine through stones, accompanied by petite natural basins. Running parallel to both the shoreline and mangrove, the native flora consists of cactuses and bromeliads, an unusual assemblage within mangrove biomes.

Due to tectonic shifts, Ponta do Pai Vit%C3%B3rio is shaped, and geologists refer to it as “the fault.” Characterized by its “ensemble of features,” this point is blanketed in lush vegetation and juts into the ocean among boulders, crafting a unique and untamed vista that is a popular choice for film shoots.
