Amazing way to spend a day! - We only had one day in El Calafate, so we booked a Perito Moreno tour with Patagonia Dreams. It was a perfect way to spend the day! The tour bus picked us up at our lodging directly, then we had a beautiful drive to the national park. We had purchased our NP ticket online in advance but you can also do so at the entrance - while booking online saves a small hassle, you DO get an actual ticket stub if you buy in person at the entrance so if you like little scrapbook pieces like that, it’s something to keep in mind. We opted for the hour-long boat excursion in addition to the walkways and I can’t recommend it enough! Definitely do the boat if you can afford to; it’s worth the bit of a splurge. The walkways were beautiful and if you’re at all used to physical activity they won’t take you nearly as long as the park’s signs suggest. We got to see the glacier calve, saw some wildlife in a flock of austral parakeets, a caracara up close, and even a fox! The glacier was incredible and views were all amazing. Patagonia Dreams made everything incredibly simple and we were just able to enjoy the day.

It's beautiful to see a... - It's beautiful to see a glacier--which may not be possible in a few years; the boat ride did not seem worth it to me due to it not getting much closer than the distance from view points for safety reasons.

Great tour - Knowledgeable guide, comfortable bus. We learned a lot and enjoyed lots of free time wandering around the glacier park. We opted for the boat trip add on, which we would highly recommend

Stunning views - This was exactly what we wanted. The bus was clean and the drive felt safe. Our guide, Guadalupe, shared history about the region and the glacier. She previewed the glacier viewing paths. She was very clear about times, especially when and where to meet the bus for our return trip. Then, we were let go to enjoy the walks and the view. The cost was in line with our expectations. We had 4 hours at the Glacier Pathways, giving us time to walk all of the paths, eat at the restaurant, and walk back to the bus. Highly recommend, even if you’ve seen other glaciers.

A very long day - This was a well run tour and our guide, Tobias, was excellent, providing information in Spanish and English. He talked about the environment we were driving through, and let us know what to expect ahead (restroom stop, paying for park entrance, etc.). The large tour bus was comfortable, and we were given the option of being dropped off in town or shuttled back to our hotel after the tour (most chose to be dropped off in town). My only complaint was that it was a very long day just to see the glacier, magnificent though it was. We were not interested in the boat tour (another 60,000 pesos per person), but it meant that we were stuck at the foot bridges for four hours. Too long! It was too cold and windy to hang out outside, so instead we wasted time in the crowded cafeteria. I understand why the operator, Patagonia Dreams, would only send one bus out for boat/not-boat guests, but ugh. I don’t know if the guests who chose the boat option were more satisfied, but Transport + Park Entrance + Boat Tour + Cafeteria adds up to an expensive day as well as a long day. (10am-5:30pm with our drop off in town rather than shuttling back to our hotel.)

tour to the Moreno expert with Guadeloupe - Excellent agency with a super guide, I went at the end of November 2024, there was the Guadalupe guide who during the bus trip illustrated everything inherent in the glacier, parks flora and fauna with illustrative signs, then gave us advice to visit the moraine expert, even very young and 'very good and I also told the agency to that nice lady with glasses and fair hair, perhaps white, however compliments, reasonable prices. If I'd stayed more days I'd have done more tours with them.

Absurd Prices - Nothing to say against the Glacier as it was amazing. Unfortunately the experience ended up being a really expensive walk, bus ride and park ticket, total amount of about $104.00 just to see sights the glacier. Prices are getting ridiculously high just to enter the park, plus, inside they try to squeeze more money out of you in every way possible.
