Perfect - On September 22, 2026, we did the cooking workshop where we learned to make frappé, moussaka, tzatziki, baklava, and saganaki. In addition, we were able to taste local cheese and olive oil. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, mother & son with a cup of Greek coffee or tea. The son, also the restaurant's chef, told us about the history of Zakynthos. It was apparent to everyone that he did this workshop with passion. He involved everyone in the workshop, was hospitable and wanted to pass on his knowledge. At the end of the workshop, we ate our dishes with Greek salad and bread, wine/beer or soft drinks were also included in the workshop. Afterwards, you can still get the necessary spices or other local items at the little shop. You will receive the recipes by email so you can also make them at home. It was worth every penny, we enjoyed it, the highlight of our vacation!

Wonderful way to spend a morning. - Our second year booking with Cooking Classes Zante, and they never disappoint! My husband and I did the Greek Dinner Party last year, and returned this time for the Friday morning 'Introduction to Greek Cooking' class. Cooking outside in Argasi is a dream, and Alex and his mum, Mandy, are such wonderful, welcoming hosts. We made authentic Stifado, Dolmades, a delicious spinach and feta pie, fresh tzatziki, and an amazing orange cake that stole the show, and I will definitely be trying at home! Paired with great wine and island history, it was the perfect morning. Highly recommend, even for returning visitors!" Thank you once again Alex and Mandy.

Definitely a recommendation! - The nicest thing we did this holiday! The chef was incredibly friendly and told us all sorts of things, not only about Greek food but also the history of the island and fun tips and tricks for the rest of the vacation. We ate deliciously and could ask all our questions. Everyone was well involved in the cooking class and you didn't need any previous experience to participate. But even if you have some cooking experience, it was still fun and educational. Not unimportant: you can park behind the restaurant. Definitely a recommendation!

A recommendation! Fantastic 👌 - It was fantastic! Alex speaks with full passion and energy while cooking about Greek history and culture. Don't forget the delicious dishes. Alex took us through typical Greek dishes and we got to work together. In the meantime, there is enough time for questions about the island. He gives enough tips that we really benefited from. The cooking was done with fresh ingredients and olive oil from his company. In short, a real recommendation to do if you are in Zakynthos. Alex and team, thanks for the hospitality and perhaps until next time.

Fantastic cooking workshop - Super fun cooking workshop given by Alex and his mother Mandy who came to Zakynthos as an Englishman in the 80s, fell in love with a Greek and has lived on Zakynthos ever since. The cooking workshop is held in the garden of their atmospheric restaurant The Green Frog. Delicious dishes prepared and in between Alex told a lot about the history of Zakynthos and Greece. Drinks are included in the price and you will receive all recipes in the mail afterwards. Recommended!!
