Getaway worth it! - We enjoyed seeing around Arequipas and the path to the reserve gives great views of the volcanoes! We saw several llamas, alpacas, vicugna and flamingos in the reserve! Gustavo is a great guide, he speaks good English, he gives several information, he is friendly and attentive. And our driver performed very well on a road that comes with challenges!

Best activity I did in Peru, hands down. - This tour was superb! Our guide & driver were the best in our 10 day trip to Peru. We did Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain prior to our arrival in Arequipa. Gustavo switched flawlessly between Spanish & English for the entire group, provided very good details about all the stops on the itinerary. Our driver clearly paid attention to the road and the ride was so much nicer for it. Let's face it, the rural roads in Peru could use some maintenance. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, please try the quinoa porridge & cuy! When I return to Peru, Peru Baby Llama will be the company I do my excursions with.

Great day tour from Arequipa - Gustavo was a great guide. It was a very interesting day, and we saw lots of interesting things. Unfortunately, one I'd asked if we should bring our swimsuits. The the service provider didn't give me an answer on that question so I assumed not to bring them . So we had to rent swimsuits when we got to the thermal baths. It wasn't expensive. It was just that I specifically had asked. If you have just arrived in areakeepa, you want to drink lots of coca tea or eat coca leaf, it's quite high in elevation.

Fantastic nature experience & guidance - The tour with Gustavo Taco (Peru Baby Lama Tours) to the Salt Lake Salinas was fantastic. The landscape alone is definitely worth seeing. Gustavo took us to the most beautiful places and told us a lot of interesting things. He was in great mood and very engaged in telling us about his country. There was also enough time to move alone in the wild mountain landscape. Good lunch, great organization. Muchas gracias!
A few days later I did the 2-days-Trekkingtour to Colca Canyon - fantastic tour & guidance & perfect organization - I can recommend Peru Baby Lama Tours/Arequipa.

Tourist trap, AVOID - We had a complete disaster of an experience with them. My wife and I went on a day tour with them to Salinas and Volcan de Logen near Arequipa. The bus was super uncomfortable and cramped. A lot of other passengers were complaining about it and trying to get a little more space by pushing against the seat in front of them or behind them. The tour guide talked the absolute minimum during the whole trip. Hi did not even bother to ask who needed English guidance. I am quite fortunate to speak a tiny bit of Spanish as his English was lacking severely when he talked some short sentences to the Asian passengers. The lunch restaurant they took us to was a complete disaster as well. We paid the equivalent of a high end restaurant in the main square of the city but received cold, tasteless food in a run down building. It kind of turned into a disgrace when most of the other passengers (locals) started to complain about this and did not want to pay the full price. Instead of taking responsibility they downplayed our complaints and basically told us to suck it up and that they never had any such complaints so far. Overall, we felt like this is a classic example of a tourist trap, AVOID AT ALL COST!
