- Mirador Cruz del Condor - Embark on a journey to the magnificent Colca Canyon to witness the majestic “El Condor,” the largest flying bird of the Andes, and marvel at the canyon’s depth, recognized as one of the deepest in the world. Capture stunning photographs along the way. On the return, there are stops at key viewpoints in the Colca Valley, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Andes and the Inca and pre-Inca terraces from the 15th-16th centuries, which are still cultivated by the Andean people.
Take time to explore the village of Maca, a charming place featuring the enduring Santa Ana de Maca church, a silent witness to the passage of centuries. Enjoy the Colca Sour, a drink considered a heritage of the Colca Valley, made from the “Sancayo” fruit of the Andean cactus. There are also opportunities for photos with llamas and alpacas, adorned with hats and sunglasses, adding a unique charm to the area.
- Hot Springs Chacapi - Visit the Chacapi hot springs in the Yanque district, where the water temperatures range from 36 to 39 degrees Celsius, providing a relaxing experience after a productive morning. Optional activities include kayaking on the Colca River, renting quadricycles, and zip-lining.
- Chivay - Stop in the town of Chivay to enjoy a replenishing buffet lunch included in the tour (drinks are extra), before heading to the city of Arequipa.
- Abra Patapampa - Reach the highest point of the tour at “Patapampa,” 4910 meters above sea level, where you can admire the guardian volcanoes of the area, such as the great Ampato, where the frozen body of the famous Inca girl Juanita was discovered, the active Sabancaya volcano, and the impressive Hualca Hualca. Discover the small stone towers called Apachetas, created by the Andean people as offerings to the Andean gods, and today, visitors build them to make wishes. You can also find one of the highest bathrooms in Peru here.
- Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve - Visit one of the protected areas in the country, home to South American camelids, symbols of the Andes.
