- Hin Areni Winery - Vayots Dzor, particularly the village of Areni, has been the heart of Armenian winemaking for thousands of years. The “Hin Areni” wine factory invites the world to explore this region, highlighting the historic and native Armenian grape varieties. At the winery, traditional winemaking methods are expertly blended with cutting-edge modern technology. The “Hin Areni” wine factory can process over 250 tonnes of grapes.
- Tatev Monastery - As a key architectural landmark in Zangezour, the Tatev Monastery stands unrivaled. It was once the wealthiest medieval monastery in Armenia. Beyond its religious significance, Tatev was a crucial strategic center for the Syunik kingdom. Positioned in a naturally fortified location, the Tatev Monastery has always been an impenetrable fortress against invaders. During unstable political times, several secret passages within the fortress provided a connection to the canyon, linking the monastery to the outside world.
- Wings of Tatev - This is the world’s longest non-stop aerial tramway. The 5.7-kilometer cable car traverses a deep gorge of the River Vorotan and passes over hills adorned with lush forests.
- Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge - Located 8 km from Goris, Khndzoresk is renowned for its natural “stone carpets.” Old Khndzoresk is perched on the two slopes of a mountainous valley. Due to the lack of flat land for building, inhabitants utilized caves. During the Syunik national liberation movement (1722-1730), Khndzoresk’s inaccessible geography made it a stronghold for Syunik. Armenian commander Mkhitar Sparapet is buried here, alongside his son Aharon and the Lady of Syunik, Gohar. Recently, a remarkable “swinging bridge” was constructed in Khndzoresk, measuring 160 m in length, 63 m in height from the gorge’s deepest point, and 1.5 m in width. The bridge, which can support 700 people at once and weighs 14 tons, offers a stunning view and connects the two sides of old Khndzoresk.
