Starting near the designated pick-up points, the journey begins in the charming village of Piana, situated on the slopes of Mount Mainalos. As the trek progresses through the forest, participants will arrive at Arkoudorema, a village deserted since 1928. Nestled in the ravine, explorers can discover the remnants of old houses, the well-preserved Church of Arkoudorema, and a beautifully restored stone fountain. The stones, covered in vibrant green moss, create an enchanting, storybook-like setting. The trek concludes in Limpovisi, the birthplace and childhood home of Theodoros Kolokotronis, a celebrated hero of the Greek Revolution.
