Positive experience with inappropriate discomfort - We traveled on the Glentor Thursday 21, at the start a small discomfort caused by a family that despite not having declared their dog at the time of booking pretended to be able to take the dog in the coves... the crew informed the gentleman that they could take the dog by boat but that in the beaches they would not let him in (everyone knows that dogs are not allowed in many beaches and in the Coves was never allowed) he began to yell and then decide to get off threatening to report all of them .. the staff apologized to us passengers for the inconvenience but the gentleman in question was really rude. That then, when you make the reservation there is written all clear what concerns 4-legged friends... all of us dog owners know the rules and prohibitions on the beach well, I do not know where the gentleman thought he was going... (which then, given the small size of the dog, would still be dangerous for the dog's paws to walk quietly in the small stones of Cala Mariolu or in the larger ones of Cala Sisine). Apart from this initial hitch ALL FANTASTIC! Friendly, nice and competent staff. In each strategic place came from the 'loudspeaker the detailed explanation of the place with explanation in Italian and English, staff help in getting on and off for those with walking problems, lunch on board very good ❤️ in short we will still see the coves and certainly we will do it with the GLENTOR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Arrive at least one hour before the departure to find a place to park and bring a printed voucher - Five years ago I’ve visited the Gulf of Orosei starting from Arbatax. This time we left from Cala Gonone (2 couples). We arrived there 30 min prior to departure by car and we couldn’t find a place to park in none of the three parkings so I had to find a place in the street 600 meters from the port. We were surprised to find out that we had to present a printed voucher (the reservation voucher on the phone was not accepted). So there was another delay until we found a place to print the voucher for 12€. Instead of 10 a clock we had to take another boat at 11 a.m. Everything on the excursion was ok. Unfortunately the sea level had risen and the beaches were narrower than 5y ago (e.g. Cala Luna).

Good cruise from Arbatax - After some research I decided to cruise the Gulf of Oresei from Arbatax rather than Cala Gonone as it appeared that boats would be less busy. It appeared to have been the right decision as our boat was not crowed while we saw some others that were packed! The boat was quite large (indoor and outdoor space) and decent, with a little bar/shop and OK service. I would rate it as friendly and relaxed. The whole cruise was very pretty and well worth the cost. We hired a beach umbrella for EUR 10 which was a good move. We took our own food. We also paid EUR 10 each for the Fico caves which was worth it. Not the best caves I have ever seen but certainly interesting and there was plenty of time in the day to fit this in. The whole cruise was very pretty, and the beach locations impressive, but the beaches were all packed and very stony. Not great for lying or swimming - but interesting nontheless. Oh, free parking at Arbatax Marina was a bonus.

Better the other beautiful Sardinian bays - September- I thought- there will be fewer people than 10 years ago when August we beat each other both on the motorboat and in the bays. True x the boat where we were good also x kindness of the crew (Del Corsaro ), terrible experience in the beaches and the sea: there was no space x a bath or a towel x the amount of people. Too bad, surely so many crowds have a ruinous impact on the environment
