A great day of discovery with a large family - Lampa was a great Guide. It was interesting for a group of 6 people (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 young children) and everyone appreciated it. He knows how to alternate picturesque stories and deeper knowledge. The places were very well chosen and he knew how to adapt to our pace and our requests. I recommend this very good Guide to all families! Thank you for this day of Lampa!

Recommended - Lampa is a funny, passionate, well English speaking tour guide who gave us a nice informative and relaxed tour around the temples of Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Good with kids too. A full day in the sun can be quite hot, so Lampa split the day in two parts, giving us some time in the afternoon to retreat in the hotel pool during the hottest hours of the day. He also brought us to a brilliant restaurant for lunch, where we had one if the best curries yet. We were encouraged to eat with the hands, like the locals do. Very nice!

Great tour with friendly guide! - We had initially booked the half day tour. After confirming the booking Lampa contacted us via whatsapp after which we briefly called to discuss the day. He was super friendly, thought along in everything and spoke good English. On his advice we finally converted our booking to the full day tour. So we could experience his full story about Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Lampa took us to Mihintale for the sunrise. We were all alone with a beautiful view. He then took us to the old town along several stupas and enthusiastically told us about Buddhism in Sri Lanka and its history. His English is excellent and the stories were interesting and easy to follow. Lampa also helped us book a safari in Wilpattu National Park, the next day. There is more possible than the options he offers online. You can always contact him via whatsapp if you have special wishes ‪+94 77 774 3373€. A tip: talk to Lampa about what you want to see and what you want to skip. The old town of Anuradhapura is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you have to buy a ticket for that separately. Lampa can arrange that too. Lampa can also arrange a car for the tour, but this is not included in the price. This is also in the description of the tour but we had overlooked. He is very approachable and responsive, so discuss what you want to see and he will arrange it.

The best way to explore Anuradhapura with a young and experienced tour guide! - We had an incredible experience with our tour guide Lampa, who expertly guided us through all the landmarks. His perfect English made the tour enjoyable and informative, and he was always ready to answer our questions about both the sites and life in Sri Lanka. Lampa's friendly demeanor and deep knowledge added so much value to our trip. Lampa, we hope you enjoyed the whiskey we brought you!

Lampa is informative and navigates the places & cultures of Sri Lanka expertly! - Lampa was a good guide at the sites and was patient answering many questions from this curious history teacher! He adjusted the tour when I asked certain questions and even tho it may have been closest or more convenient to go another way. He had great timing and kept us moving at the perfect pace to see midday meal. His English was very clear. Lampa was able to explain topics in detail using vocabulary enviable by American high school students! Lampasas went above and beyond and also helped me book a safari after his tour when I expressed interest. Lampa's tour was excellent! I only wish the heat had not worn me down so much so that I could not do another day with him at Pollonoruwa But alas I should have planned rest in between rather than before! Pro tips: stay in Sigiriya longer and make day trips to Annuradapurna, Minneriya, and Pollonuruwa and of course Sigiriya and Dambulla. All are so worth the fees and a guide, as they are the reason you came this far! Then take the train to Trinco and enjoy the beach!

Best guide of Sri Lanka, call Lampa! - We booked a trip from the Netherlands in advance with Lampa. We had some questions about the things we should take with us when we visited a temple. Lampa can be reached via WhatsApp and has already helped us well in the Netherlands. His friendliness on the phone continued into the tour. Here he did the evening part a day earlier because the weather was better to see Mihintale. The next day we did the rest of the tour. The way Lampa gives the tour is very nice! He not only tells his story, but later also asks questions about what he tells. A kind of quiz that helps you absorb the material better and really learn something about the culture and history. After the tours we had dinner with Lampa at a nice restaurant. Lampa is also available after the tour for all your questions! This perfectly shows how hospitable and helpful he is. So if you want to know something: call Lampa!

The best way to explore Anuradhapura - The tour with Lampa is a great way to see, learn and experience Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Lampa is an experienced and fantastic guide with great knowledge about the history and habits of the Sri Lankan Buddhists. His English is very good and his way of explaining their traditions, rules and hobbits made it easy to understand. Besides his knowledge it is also a very friendly and fun guy to spend the day with. He is open for adjustments in his tour and to make the day attractive to our kids (15 and 17 years old) too, we also visited a lake, had a delicious real local lunch and ended our tour with meditation. We would recommend Lampa to everyone. You’ll definitely will have a great day with him.

Great day at Anuradhapura with Lampa! - Lampa tour was amazing! He has a lot of experience and shares this in perfect English! Besides telling you everything about Buddhism and all the history, we also had the experience of a very delicious lunch at this place, prepared by his mum. All in all a great day, would really recommend!

Wonderful guide - A friend of ours who went to Sri Lanka a year ago recommended Lampa and he certainly did not disappoint. Kumara is an expert guide and overall great guy! We spent a day with him in Anuradhapura and Mihintale and he explained everything really well. He knows a lot about its history and the cultural significance nowadays. Questions were also allowed, we asked a ton cause we were so intrigued and he answered each one with great knowledge and explained a lot about buddhism which we were not familiar with. He has his own approach as guide of taking you from one place to the next, telling pieces of the story, but everything really ties into itself in the end as the story unfolds. The sunset at the end in Mihintale was breathtaking! We were so pleased with the whole experience that we also asked him to accompany us to Dambulla and Polonnaruwa, which we are very glad he did. Those two days were the highlight of our trip. Nothing but praise from me, definitely recommend!
