Incredible experience! ⛰️ - 🏔️ Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 🏔️ Sometimes, the best adventures come from unexpected changes. I originally booked the Inca Trail trek, but the day before departure, I got the news the government had closed the trail due to landslides from heavy rain. (What can you do? 🤷🏽‍♂️) We were given 3 options; reschedule, refund, or take on the Salkantay Trek. I went with the last one, if I had the flexibility to change dates, I might have. But after this experience, I’m so glad I didn’t! Over 4 incredible days, we trekked through Humantay Lake, the towering Salkantay Mountain (6,271m), and finally arrived at Machu Picchu—one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Day 2 was tough, reaching Salkantay Pass at 4,600m, the highest point of the trek. What was supposed to be a group of 14 ended up being 7, making it even more intimate and special. Huge thanks to our guide Wilian Elvis and chef Zenobio, who kept us well-fed, informed, and safe at all times 🫶🏽 This trek was challenging but absolutely worth it - for the stunning views, the cultural insights into the Incas and Peruvian history, and the amazing people I met along the way.

Great team delivering a great experience - Awesome trip which I wholeheartedly recommend. Our guide Wilian Elvis was superb. The chef Zenobio also needs a shout out for preparing amazing food meal after the meal. The trek ran like clockwork and credit must go to Wilian, Zenobia and the rest of the team for an amazing experience.

Salkantay Trek - 5 days - The views are amazing. The guides are always with you, sharing their knowledge about all the places you visit during the trekking. My guides were Edy, Renato and Filipo. Super professional. We went during the raining season, there were some landslides during the way and the guides helped us cross them. Forever grateful. This experience is for people who love adventure.

Special trek and a very special team of staff, thank you! - Amazing amazing trek! It was made particularly special by our incredible guide Juan, the best guide I’ve had on a trip like this - always attentive, patient, kind and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond! Our exceptional head chef Balvino provided us with the best food I’ve enjoyed in Peru (and anywhere in recent memory). And sous chef Dario was incredibly helpful with all our needs and always had a smile on his face.

Wonderful adventure on the Salkantay trek - Our excellent guide Juan de Dios helped make our trek a fantastic adventure. He is fun, kind, very helpful and patient whilst also being very knowledgeable about the environment, fauna, flora and the Inka history. An excellent Chinchilla spotter, conductor of offerings to Pacha mama and much much more. Plus giving us all the extra little surprises which made this a very memorable trip. Thank you! Then the support crew: Balvino the chef. Never a bad meal with highlights for me being the numerous Peruvian dishes, the gluten free pancakes, the Pachamanca, the cake and the Ceviche. Thank you. And Dario the Sous chef. Super helpful with water, early morning Coca tea and always with a smile. Big thank you to both these guys for carrying all the gear we needed to camp at Llactapata and set up and dismantle camp without an additional porter. Keep on doing what you are doing.
