100% must do experience - This class exceeded all my expectations. The choice of curries, the organisation and the environment were exemplary. The tastes of the various dishes were out of this world and I cant wait to use the recipes sent to me to feed my family and friends at home. This was a "must do" experience. Thank you

Delicious food and lovely family - This cooking class was the best way to end our vacation in Sri Lanka. The friendly family welcomes you into their lovely home and teaches you how to cook the most delicious Sri Lankan dishes. 10 different dishes and our stomachs and hearts were full. We would recommend this experience to anyone interested in taking in a culinary experience. The level of hygiene was high. Don’t miss out on this.

Great experience to learn about Sri Lankan cooking! - I had an amazing experience at the Colombo cooking class hosted in Piumi's kitchen! Piumi was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable, patiently answering all my questions about Sri Lankan cooking. The class was so much more than just learning recipes — it was an authentic and immersive experience. I ended up having an extra day in Colombo and messaged them on WhatsApp the day before. They were super responsive and managed to fit me in, which I really appreciated. Piumi even recommended a local store where | bought traditional Sri Lankan clay pots at very affordable prices. The store was full of locals, and it felt like a hidden gem I wouldn't have found otherwise. One of the highlights was learning how to grate coconut and prepare the two types of coconut milk used in Sri Lankan cooking. It was fascinating to see these traditional techniques in action, and it added so much depth to the dishes we made. This class is perfect for anyone looking to learn about Sri Lankan cuisine and culture in a warm and friendly setting. Highly recommend it!

Excellent Participatory Cooking Course - This was an amazing multi-sensory participatory experience. We made a total of 10 dishes, our cooking instructor explained each ingredient and demonstrated each step of the process very clearly. The food was delicious and even more special because we made it together. This is a highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend this cooking course

Highly recommended authentic home-cooking experience! - We made the cooking class in our last day in SriLanka. I was convinced to book by Colombo cooking class by the many good reviews I red on TripAdvisor, and I am happy to share mine too, because I can just confirm that if you like cooking and are interested in going beyond the recipes (that you could easily find online), this is the right experience for you. You'll learn about the ingredients and the process, but you'll learn also about the culture, and you'll have the possibility to ask questions and satisfy your curiosity or solve your doubts, and this all in a very nice, authentic home atmosphere and thanks to the kindness and friedliness of Piumi, our/your chef. We made 10 different curries, cooked rice and learned how to do coconut milk and coconut roti, and at the end we enjoyed the delicious meal. Thank you Piumi, we really enjoyed the experience and we'll try to reproduce your delicious curries at home!🥰
