fun expereince - I thought it would be touristy but mostly locals supporting the squad. It seems more of a show for and party Salguerio supporters, than an actual carnival rehearsal, but we loved it.

Samba School with Salgueiro - Wow! The Samba School session with Salgueiro was a great introduction to Rio de Janeiro and its love of Samba. The transportation pick-ups among different hotels went smoothly as we headed to the Vila Isabel neighborhood on the city’s North zone. Salgueiro’s grand building filled with many spectators and its supporters was a sight to see. It wasn’t a concert or show but rather an unforgettable experience. The many different musical and dancing acts and costumes were pleasures for the ears and eyes. One should bring Brazilians reais if interested in buying merchandise, souvenirs, food or beverages. A table isn’t necessary to buy because you should be on your feet dancing. The building gets packed, but it’s easy enough to get to the front of the stage to watch the acts. I felt safe and everyone was having a good time. The Samba schools work hard in preparation of Carnaval.

Amazing Salgueiro!!! Bad tour agency. - The event, once we were dropped off was simply AMAZING!! Like, everybody should experience that in Rio - very nice and SAFE location. Incredible energy, beautiful people! Next time we will be looking into getting to Salgueiro in a bag or Uber. Cons: We were 2 hrs in the tourist agency bus waiting for everybody else to be picked up… we were the first. I wished I knew it so we could’ve meet the bus at the last pick up location, 2 hrs later. The agency used here (or the guide) seemed disorganized, the bus smelled like a public bathroom, like pretty bad. Outdated bus, no music nothing fun for 2 hrs before dropped off at the event, which was a shame. With little adjustments this could’ve been a better experience in general.

A lively experience - We arrived and were immediately seated at a table that we had to clean on the fly. Apart from this detail, the experience was very good. The dancers and drums put on a show. The experience was really worth it. I recommend.

Samba do Salgueiro - Very good samba. The structure is reasonable. The service of the bars leaves much to be desired. In sale could have the option of tables and cabin.

Expensive trap - We travelled for about 80 minutes to pick up several guests. They booked the cheapest ticket available (standing and not planning ahead for any guests) At the end they couldn’t wait for 8 minutes and I had to pay for Uber The experience was very poor My recommendation is to do it on your own Don’t waist your money with them Do it on your own Salgueiro is very safe even for foreigners

Please send back 75% of the money we paid - We were picking up people in 10 different hotels, being in a bus for almost 1,5 hour. The communication by the host we could not even hear due to the poor noice system. We paid $75-ish dollar, whilst the usual entrance fee is less than a $10. The show was OK, but only music and dance and nothing else. A BIG SHAME WHAT HAS BEEN OFFERED.
