Weekend Trip Must Do! - My husband and I visited Anchorage for a long weekend trip and this was one of our planned activities. I am so glad we decided to book this, it was even better than I expected! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we loved going to the Wildlife Conservation Center. The views along the way of the tour were absolutely stunning! This is a must do!

Great way to spend your day. - Kim was very informative about points of interest along the route. Beautiful scenery and we saw a lot of the native wildlife. Even saw a brown Bear out walking around and saw one in its den sticking her head out. In February if you can believe that. I don't think you will regret taking this tour.

Great opportunity to see the animals - It's a great way to see the animals if you don't have any transportation of your own to get out to the Conservation Centre. I found the time at the Wildlife Centre a little short, but that's likely personal preference as I'm someone who could spend hours in a place like that. For most people it would be a good length of time. Dan was a great tour guide - friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented. I would definitely recommend booking with White Raven Tours for this experience.

Adventure Time! - This was a fun and very visual tour. Bis driver Dan is a cool cat. We got to visit a beautiful glacier lake, experience salmon swimming up stream and spawning, and the conservation visit was outstanding to see all the animals in such good health and protected. We also popped into a chocolate shop! Highly recommended if you're in town for a decent price. About 4-5 hrs total.

A little rain didn't stop us - When it's dry in Anchorage, be prepared for rain and fog in the Portage area. It was raining hard at the conservation center and very muddy. We still enjoyed the commentary and learning about the various animals housed there. It was hard to see through foggy windows and even stepping outside the van, there was fog and very low clouds blocking the view of the glaciers. Our drive along Turnigan Arm was beautiful and we even saw Dall sheep on the cliffs above the road. Dan felt bad about the weather and added an extra stop. It was still a wonderful experience to get outside Anchorage and see the countryside, the pristine lakes and a peek at the glaciers.

Delightful - Our guide Dan was wonderfully chatty giving us little nuggets of information about life in Alaska. Along with information about the glaciers and animals we saw. He knew exactly where to stop the vehicle so we could take in the views. And he gave us time to walk around and explore on our own as well. Overall a delightful experience!
