Great experience! - What a super experience. Captain Jack and 2nd Captain Albert were very knowledgeable and relaxed and most importantly very welcoming. You really felt very welcome on board. They were also not fooled by the crowds at the Y. Really recommended to take a boat trip with this company. With Sail they are unfortunately fully booked otherwise I would have liked to book a 2nd trip with them during Sail.

Lovely experience! - We had a very nice experience.
The people who were working on the boat also did their very best.
We opted for an all in with drink and a snack.
Definitely recommended!

Great time! - Had a lot of fun on this tour! Recommend for quick sightseeing. We saw a few sights along the canal and the views were very nice!

Canal Cruise, straight to captain Jacks! - Very nice boat trip with art installations. A big plus is the very kind, helpful & funny crew. On board there are plenty of free drinks available alcoholic (even non alcoholic beer, for me a big plus)! Certainly a must do!

Cold but enjoyable boat trip - Booked this trip for me and my son, we knew it was going to be cold but as I had read previous reviews I was expecting heating. There wasn’t and it was absolutely freezing, my son’s foot went numb! Apart from that the trip was pretty good, the guide tour was very knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. There were plenty of drinks to choose from, both soft and alcoholic and also water. It was a nice excursion with all the different types of lights and art.

Verify Your Pick Up Location - The Amsterdam Light Festival boat tour was nice despite the delay and miscommunication by Captain Jacks. I would have given it a 5 rating, however, Captain Jacks never showed up at the assigned pick up location given in the reservation or the reminder reservation confirmation the day before. There were 4 in our party and 8 (or more) other guests waiting in the cold rain for the boat that never arrived. After multiple calls and one hour later, we had to walk a half mile in the rain and cold weather to another location to get the boat ride. Very poor customer service.

Underwhelming - Underwhelmed after this experience.
Have done previous canal cruise trips and felt this was limited in terms of content.

Buyer beware. Not as advertised. - We booked the Festival of Lights tour on a saloon boat with Captain/Skipper Jack Amsterdam. At the dock we were placed on a Flagship tour boat as apparently they are partnered up. Ended up on a large boat with the front half having plastic windows that were completely steamed up, saw just a blur of lights. Weather was cold so I can understand that this happened, but they should not have loaded up a boat where half of the people could not see. They knew this before we even left the dock. Complete waste of time and money. At the end of the cruise I spoke to a manager on the dock and was offered a refund which has not occurred. They have not been contact since, nor do they answer phone or WhatsApp messages. “Captain Jack” who I actually booked through is also not taking responsibility, actually blamed me for booking through an incorrect link (not at all true-my receipt is clearly from him) - very unprofessional to try to blame the customer!!! I am sure there are more reputable tour operators in Amsterdam - highly recommend avoiding this shady set-up.

Deception - Last Saturday, May 25, 2024, they 'cancelled' a boat trip for us due to rain for an hour and a half and after waiting for the agreed time, it continued to rain and they postponed it again for another 4 hours. At that time we had another activity scheduled and we couldn't attend so we notified the crew. Even so, they have charged us the full amount. A shame!! Very disappointed! The captain is so happy in the photos... is he laughing at you!?
