Amsterdam Respite - Three cheers for Captain Joao! Booked tickets for a boat tour of Amsterdam given Rick Steves' stand out recommendation. It didn't disappoint. After a day of rushing through the city and walking amongst all the tourists, the boat ride was a calming respite. I think a lot of your experience has to do with the person who is your guide. Joao was kind, knowledgeable, and clearly being a captain/tour guide is "more than just a job" for him. Truly intentional -- he asked us to share one thing about the boat tour that we enjoyed so he could celebrate that with us too. There are so many options, but this "mom and pop" tour company is the stand out in so many ways!

Outstanding small group tour of beautiful Amsterdam canals - What a great canal boat cruise. Capt. Eddie is a personable and entertaining fellow. The tour lasted 1 1/2 hours and covered some really scenic canals in Amsterdam. Capt. Eddie grew up in Amsterdam and is an encyclopedia of knowledge about sites on the tour. Suggest trying to sit by Capt. Eddie so you can hear his commentary and ask questions. The boat is small enough to navigate through canals not accessible to larger group canal boats. This is more personal canal boat experience than is possible on a large, high capacity, canal boat tour. Our family members were on the canal cruise several weeks ago and recommended we sign up during our visit to Amsterdam. My wife and I really enjoyed the boat tour. Highly recommended.

Awesome Small-Group Tour! - We loved this tour! Our skipper, Guus, was so much fun, answered all our questions, gave us a lot of history. Small open boat made it so easy to see everything around us.

Amazing! Book this canal tour! - Everything about this tour was amazing! It was so nice to have this intimate experience rather than one of the large vessels with 80-100 people on them. Our captain, João, was nothing short of spectacular. He let us ask all the questions we wanted about everything we saw and could think of, and he was so knowledgeable in his answers. He was also the most kind, welcoming, and friendly captain that we could have asked for.

A perfect afternoon - Perfect way to spend an afternoon. The guide was excellent, telling us facts about the history and architecture of Amsterdam. It was just mix of fun facts, as well as substantial information. We were looking for a small group boat tour that wasn't focused on alcohol/partying and gave us a different perspective on the city. This tour was really the perfect way to spend our last day in Amsterdam.

Chilling in Amsterdam - We enjoyed an evening trip with Captain Attila. It's a good option as there is less noise and boat traffic. We had a cosy trip with drinks available onboard. It's also possible to bring your picnic. And the evening will shed peculiar lights on Captain Attila historical backgrounds and interesting stories.

Highly Interesting Tour That Goes Where Bigger Boats Can't - After taking a packed Seine River cruise in Paris, my wife thought a smaller boat tour of the Amsterdam canals would be better. She was right. Only 10 people total on our boat. We were lucky to draw "Captain Tom" as our captain. Don't let his age fool you--he's about 19--because he knows his history. We learned a lot of very interesting facts about everything we saw in this 90-minute ride, but it wasn't overkill either. Captain Tom was very funny, too. My in-laws are coming into Amsterdam in late July and we highly recommended this company to them, and they booked it! The boarding area was a little tricky to find, but trust your Apple maps. It will get you there. Drinks on board available for purchase and don't cost and arm and a leg. Highly enjoyable experience. We went in late June and took the 7:45 pm cruise. Good lighting at that hour (it didn't get dark until after 10:30 pm). Highly, highly recommended!

Fantastic- dont look elsewhere just book it!! - Brilliant trip - with friendly and knowledgeable Captain Tom. There were only 7 of us which made it more personal and fun! Drinks offered and accepted which was a great touch- wine and beer both chilled too! A fabulous way to see the sights of pretty Amsterdam from the canals and learn about Dutch history of this gorgeous city. The boat is electric, clean and very comfortable and the starting point from outside the Haart museum is very convenient. No hesitation in recommending and will certainly book again whe we return to Amsterdam.

Bad customer service - Was 5 minutes late so missed the boat. Had contacted viator beforehand saying I was running late due to traffic. Afterwards had a very displeasing conversation with Bente Hughes, which stated my clock must of been wrong or I must have went to wrong address. They were being very passive aggressive in the chat. I knew it was my fault for being late but no reason to come at me after spending $60 for the trip I didn’t go on and another $40 for transportation to get there.
