Smooth and Relaxing Day into a Beautiful City - Pleasant and smooth day. Travel guide Ian and driver Pete are clearly experienced in making a travel experience with a large group seem smooth as can be with no effort, but it does take thoughtful planning. Thank you.

The drive from Ams is... - The drive from Ams is long, but Bruges is totally worth it! It would be helpful to incorporate a brief stop half way to stretch legs.

8 - Nice day trip with good tour guide and driver. Comfortable bus. Just a pity that no information could be given by phone about the exact location, it was not indicated that there was an office, communication only in English and for the location it was indicated that it was NOT in the station building (WHICH IS THE CASE) and was directed to google, which is not clear at all.

Not What Was Expected - Our guide was a pleasant fellow and provided information on the 3 hr drive. However, there were about 50 passengers to 1 guide and no listening devices while on the walk through the city where certain structures were pointed out. It you were not close to him you did not hear a single word said, as there were lots of other tourists and noise. You were then left on your own to explore, to be back at a meeting point at a certain time.

Average tour , long... - Average tour , long drive, big bus tour with about 50 people, 7 hours on the road, the tour guide did not give much information what to do or where to eat after the walking tour; it was not easy to follow him either

A little disappointed. - Bruges was beautiful but very crowded. Ride from Amsterdam is 3 hours each way so one must consider that. No stops along the way for WC (€1) when you get to Bruges Shops are mostly very touristy. Be aware many things are from China (PRC) or Turkey not made in Belgium.

Do this trip on your own. Don’t waste your money. - The guide was in a bad mood and was nasty. The tour was listed as English but it was bilingual so 1/2 the time we were listening to another language, The bus arrived 30 minutes late, but the 30 minutes were not extended to our time in Bruges so we were cheated, The guide almost left my husband and I behind in Bruges because she left several minutes earlier than she said. When I asked her for directions back to the bus she gave us incomplete directions and we had to keep asking locals for directions. We overheard her refuse to help someone with a bathroom issue on the bus. She was cursing on the ride back to Amsterdam as she was sorting out the headphones. As we walked around with her on the one hour optional tour she repeatedly told us she was having a bad day. The city is beautiful, but you can’t enjoy it in 3 hours, Buy a train ticket and see the city at you leisure and without a bad-tempered Tour leader,

Disappointing - I was looking forward to our day in Bruges: a place I have wanted to see since I was a teenager. Unfortunately we missed the tour completely. The meeting place was not clear for someone who is not from Amsterdam. We tried to use our GPS, but it kept making us walk in circles. We later realized that the place we were looking for was in the mall adjacent to the metro/ train station. Once we found the meeting place, there was another couple there who missed their bus, but they were able to reschedule. We were unable to reschedule due to time constraints. Sadly, there was no number to call to ask questions or to ask for help. Viator is an excellent company and we've taken their tours before. My suggestion is to have the group meet in a more common and recognizable location.
