JAMES - THE PERFECT GUIDE - James was superb. His knowledge and understanding of the context of that period of history was incredible. The two hours with him flew by - we wanted longer. He knew so much and had clearly studied the period thoroughly. Facts were presented in a way that they “lived”. His presentation style was gentle and informative and we felt privileged to have had such a guide. Thank you James.

Excellent Tour of the Jewish Quarter - Aaron was an outstanding guide. Irish, but knows the Jewish quarter like the back of his hand. Able to tailor the tour to meet our needs, e.g., when we told him we had already visited the Anne Frank house and the Portuguese Synagogue, he focused the tour on other sites. A real mensch (!). Highly recommended.

Somber but Important Tour - Andrea our guide was knowledgeable and patient. I'm glad we went private so we could spend longer periods of time at locations that were important to us as opposed to being herded around with a large group.

Dankje James!!! - The tour was incredible and James was the perfect guide!! His personal connection to WWII history and liberation history inspired much of our conversation and sparked emotion in all of us. His knowledge of sites and facts was impressive..,not to mention the advice we put to use after for lunch and libations. Anxiously awaiting his book. Dankje, James for 2 hours very well spent.

Interesting Tour - Aaron our guide was excellent and had a great personality. We were the only 2 people on this tour and were able to ask loads of questions. The tour was very interesting and at a steady pace. The 2 hours went very quickly. Aaron had an excellent knowledge of World War 2 and each landmark we stopped at he told us interesting facts and stories that brought it all to life. He also recommended The Resistance Museum to us as he thought we would find it interesting and we did.

Anne Frank tour - It was wonderful, so informative. I didn't know that that Anne's father survived because the Nazi who confronted him had run out of bullets. She was so incredibly gifted.

World War II Amsterdam Jewish community - Fabulous excursion with James Samuel. Amazing knowledgeable, and entertaining guide. Overview of what occurred with the Jews during World War II in Amsterdam. Certainly makes you realize that Anne Frank was only a small part of the picture. Not to be missed.

Good history - Aaron was tired. The tour was less time than we had hoped for and that I thought we had booked. Probably would not book personally again but others might like it

Upsetting - We showed up at the address given for the meeting place and no one was around. Sent a message and a James responded asking if we needed help. I responded that we did and never heard back from him again. Am very unhappy, disappointed. It was a once in a lifetime trip and even though it was pouring rain wanted to do the tour. Would like a refund
