Enjoyable and engaging walking tour - We recently took this walking tour in Amsterdam with Ari as our guide, and he was a truly gifted storyteller. His engaging style brought the city’s past to life in a way that was accessible and enjoyable, and his passion for the subject was clear throughout. That said, I found myself wanting more depth—particularly around the economic dimensions of slavery. While Ari covered aspects like the spice trade and touched on broader historical themes, the role of slavery in shaping Amsterdam’s wealth felt underexplored. It left me with many more questions—which, in its own way, is a good thing. Overall, the tour was still very much worth it, especially for those first time visitors as a little appetizer.
