- Nassaukade - We stroll past the mural ‘Rose with her Box’. This mural has graced the building since 2014 and is inspired by Jacob van Lennep’s poem ‘Aan een Roosje’.
- Leidsegracht - This bench on the Leidsegracht is featured prominently in the famous film ‘The Fault in Our Stars’. If you’re unfamiliar with the movie: John Green’s story follows two American teenagers with cancer who travel to Amsterdam to meet their favorite author.
- Residence Flower Market - We wander through the Flower Market, a picturesque spot perfect for taking vibrant photos. Walk along the street to find a great photo opportunity. The market stalls are set up on boats.
- Blue Amsterdam - Capture a stunning photo with a panoramic view of the city at the hidden café Blue! Located at the top of the Kalvertoren, the café offers a 360-degree view of the city. Enter and take the glass elevator up to be amazed, and don’t forget to take pictures!
- Munt Tower (Munttoren) - The Munttoren, or ‘De Munt’, is officially named Regulierstoren and was once part of the Regulierspoort. This city gate was one of the three main gates of Amsterdam’s medieval fortifications.
- Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel - Across from the Amstel, you’ll see Hotel Doelen. Before the hotel existed, the building housed the Kloveniersdoelen, the headquarters of the civic guards, in the 17th century. Rembrandt’s famous painting, The Night Watch, was displayed here from 1642 to 1715. The Doelen hotel has hosted several notable guests, including the Beatles in 1964 and Empress Elizabeth of Austria.
- Halvemaansbrug - Near the Halvemaansbrug, you’ll find the best spot to take a photo with the dancing houses in the background.
- Dutch National Opera & Ballet - Across the Amstel, you’ll see the Stopera, the Amsterdam complex that houses both the city hall and the National Opera and Ballet.
- Blauwbrug - We pass the Blauwbrug, which connects Rembrandplein with Waterlooplein. The bridge, inspired by Parisian architecture, has a luxurious appearance and offers a view over the Amstel.
