Highlight of Amsterdam visit - It was a wonderful afternoon and such a great way to learn about Dutch food, history, and culture. The food was delicious, and we saw some hidden parts of Amsterdam a tourist might not find on their own. It was a great opportunity to chat with a local about all things Dutch and our guide, Rudolph, was excellent.

Best activity in our six days in Amsterdam! - We are slow travelers which means we really like to connect with a city's people and culture. Consequently, we stayed six nights in Amsterdam. The Grand Dutch Food Tour was simply the best activity in feeling a bond with Amsterdam. We tried a range of dishes and treats over the four hours and had time to chat with our guide and fellow travelers from around the world. Our guide, Marc, was thoughtful, educated and easy company. He provided insights on history as well as cuisine. In addition, he provided a tip on where to get some great Indonesian satay after the tour. It was an excellent recommendation! Do this tour!

Charismatic Guide, great experience! - A guide can really make or break an experience. Our guide, G., really made this trip what it was. He was fun, knowledgeable, and great at letting the group generate the discussion. Through our interactions, we learned some history, tasted local foods, and enjoyed the 4+ hour tour. We started with the apple pie (not like southern apple pie) and moved onto fries with peanut sauce and mayo...seriously, don't knock it until you try it! The restaurants were accommodating for our vegetarian! Food tours are a great way to experience out of the norm, local establishments.

Great food, fantastic guide! - This was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip…G and Taylor Swift! G is a great, charismatic tour guide and really let the group guide the discussion by answering our questions and encouraging curiosity. Each stop was unique and had a great impact on our trip. We started with the apple pie and moved onto fries with peanut sauce and mayo (don’t knock until you try it). The meat stop at the deli was fantastic…they even made a vegetarian plate for one member of the group. Four hours flew by and we were all sad to say goodbye to G!

Culture and Food - This food tour made it easy for us experience multiple places and food without having to get a table or deal with the hassle of paying. It was raining and windy the day we did this and tables were reserved that we never would have gotten into. Dirk our guide was real about what it like to Dutch and I left with an elevated understanding and appreciation for the culture.
