• The Citadel - Jabal al-Qala is one of the seven hills of Amman, historically significant as the seat of power for the Ammonians, followed by the Greeks, Romans, and Byzantines, until the Islamic conquest in the 7th century AD, when the Umayyad Palace was constructed at its summit. Mount Qalaa in Amman became the capital of the Ammonians.
• Roman Theatre - The Roman Amphitheatre is situated in the eastern part of Amman, Jordan’s capital, at the base of Mount Jufa on a hill opposite Amman Castle. Greek inscriptions on one of the pillars suggest that this amphitheater was built to honor Emperor Antonius Pius, who visited Amman in 130 AD.

In most places around the world, Downtown is the hub of primary shops and major events, a place where everyone wants to be. However, in Amman, the capital of Jordan, Downtown has a unique charm.

Downtown Amman, known as Al Balad, is the old market and vintage town. It’s the place to shop for fabrics, accessories, antiques, electric equipment, vintage furniture, gold, silver, and a variety of vegetables, fruits, meats, herbs, spices, and breads. The best part is that everything is half the price compared to the rest of the city, and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back at least 50 years in time. Al-Balad is a significant part of Jordan’s heritage and culture, offering a truly unique experience. The tour of downtown will be by car.

The museum offers an engaging and educational presentation of the Kingdom’s historic, antique, and heritage properties, as part of the ongoing story of Jordan’s past, present, and future.
