Olivia - Olivia …. At the ticket desk at the water park . She is undoubtedly one of the best members of staff in the hotel . Nothing was too much trouble for her .. we were a family of 8 with teenage girls , a 3 , 5 and 9 year old . She arranged everything for us , showing me the best deals , giving me 20 p’s for the lockers and giving the children , stickers, badges .. etc etc . She made a stressful situation , as it was absolutely packed , enjoyable . We’ve been travelling from Tenby West wales once a year for 11 years, firstly staying in the Alton Towers hotel , now splashlandings as the older girls can go to the water park on their own . It is much more expensive this year and the opening times of the water park are less , closing at 5:00 pm which is much too early for a water park! Soft drinks are very expensive, so take plenty of snacks and soft drinks with you . The food at the hotel is very good . Breakfast is included and is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day trip and would like to thank Olivia again and tell Mick who is usually by the doors at the Alton Towers hotel that we missed him ! First time in 12 years .

Something for all the family to enjoy at the water park. - We stayed 3 days at the Alton Towers Hotel, on the last morning we spent a couple of hours at the water park all 18 of us ages ranged from 8 to 70 years young and there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Splashing fun! - I’ve just got home from attending Alton Tower’s half term event; Pirate Takeover. In the package deal was entry to the waterpark. I had 4 children with me, 11,10,8 and 4. We LOVED the pool and all its features. Changing rooms were clean and well organised despite it being very busy. Again, though the pool was certainly busy, there was plenty to do for all ages and we didn’t feel constantly on top of everyone. The slides are all great, 11,10 year old did them all repeatedly. 8 year old is the cautious kind, but I’m certain many younger children would also enjoy them. My 4 year old sat on my lap to go down the outdoor slides and also for one of the ring slides. She enjoyed them all. Outdoor pool lovely and warm even in the cool February rain. We couldn’t fault our visit and as part of our pirate take over package deal, it was excellent value for money.

Fun day and night away! - One night stay with husband and ten year old grandson. Waterpark great, clean and queues minimal unless someone got stuck like they did and took approx an hour. Lack of info re. Delay was frustrating. Room dusty and furniture tired. Mick the meet and greet was fabulous and couldn’t have done more for us, even arriving with a cloth to dust our room. Staff overall were very helpful and pleasant. Food in the Secret Garden restaurant was poor quality and overpriced. It was not busy and we waited over an hour from order to receiving our food. This should be improved and improved quality standards put in place. Overall a good day and night at Alton Towers Hotel. Would be 3.5 but Mick pushed it to a 4 ☺️

Just a so-so day - Helpful staff. Place was too small to spend more than an hour. It felt like it wasn't worth the price we paid. I guess if the children are under 5 years old, they can be entertained for a bit longer. Crazily overpriced food

Underwhelming and in need of repair - We took our son on a Monday for his birthday to the Alton Towers waterpark. The first issue was the fact that all the sign posts direct you to a top carpark for the waterpark then you would access through the hotel, which is closed for winter so a sign directs you through the conference centre. Trying to navigate your way through was difficult as the signage is really poor. When we eventually found the waterpark entrance through the maze of corridors the staff we very friend and helpful. However on entering the changing rooms they were dirty and smelt. The level of hygene is poor and the place is starting to look very weathered. The toilets had the smell of a public toilet and the cubicles were dirty with wrappers and tissue paper on the floor. The lockers are great for 20p but when you enter the waterpark itself its very underwhelming and again in need of repair, bits floating in the water and rust on the pipes and buckets of the water features. We ended up only staying for 45 mins as that was enough for us but then getting back to the car was an equally difficult experience. We wont be going back anytime soon.

Very disappointing, overly expensive - The water park looks good from here, but unfortunately despite booking and paying for a package, we are still sat here on a monday morning for the next 3.5 hours waiting to go in, having just found out that we apparently needed to book a slot before we could access the park. At no point during the booking process or checking into the hotel yesterday were we advised we needed to book a time to access the waterpark, and that would be a limited window. had we known this we would have done so, instead we have had to check out at 10am on a Monday, and me, and my small children are in our swimming costumes. As a result, we have come to alton towers and there is nothing for us to do for the next 3.5 hours besides using the mini golf outside in the pouring rain, or looking at our sceeens or the expensive arcade. Given the ridiculous prices from the bar too, i consider this a waste of a day and am feeling very ripped off
