- Alnwick Castle - Next, we head to the enchanting Alnwick Castle. A dream destination for Harry Potter enthusiasts worldwide, you will have ample time to explore the corridors, grand halls, and courtyards of the real-life Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Discover where Harry learned to fly and play Quidditch in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” You might even want to join their famous Broomstick Training sessions with the resident Wizarding Professor! (Please note: Alnwick Castle will be closed until March 27th, 2025)
- The Alnwick Garden - Some visitors may choose to explore the stunning Alnwick Gardens, initially developed by the Duke of Northumberland in the 18th Century and revitalized by a charitable trust over the past 20 years. Alternatively, explore the charming village of Alnwick itself, home to the largest second-hand bookstore in the UK.
- Bamburgh Castle - We will visit the picturesque village of Bamburgh and enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic Castle overlooking the bay. Transport yourself back in time and imagine Viking longships attacking this strategic stronghold in the 10th Century! Or, savor local ice cream in the sunshine as you stroll along the beautiful beach.
Please note: If you join us between October 25th and March 27th, 2025, Alnwick Castle will be closed, and the tour will extend the visit to Bamburgh Castle instead of Alnwick Castle. Here, you can explore over 3,000 years of remarkable history while enjoying stunning views and refreshing sea air.
- Edinburgh - On our return journey to Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, your Guide will share stories about the notorious Border Reivers, who raided villages and settlements in this region for centuries – allies to neither the Scots nor the English!
We will drop you off in the city center, with an estimated arrival time of 6:30 PM. Please note that this can be affected by traffic and other factors beyond our control.
We recommend allowing 2 hours between the expected arrival time and any onward travel or reservations, as we are unable to offer individual drop-offs.
