• Bibliotheca Alexandrina - A representative will collect you from your hotel in Cairo and transfer you for an exciting day trip to Alexandria. The first stop is Pompay’s Pillar, constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally part of the temple of Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure, comparable to the Soma and the Caesarean.

Note: The Alexandria library is closed on Fridays, so you can visit the Roman theater instead.

• Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Next, you will drive to visit the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery, consisting of three levels carved into the rock. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria.
• Fort Qaitbey - Afterwards, proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria, and then visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Finally, you will return to your hotel in Cairo.
