The journey begins in Tirana, Lezha, and Shkodra city, involving a 3-hour and 20-minute car ride (from Tirana) with a brief stop en route to Komani Lake, which was created in the 1970s by damming the Drini valley.
- Shala River - Guests will then board a boat to navigate through a series of deep gorges and interconnected lakes, flanked by towering mountains, while soaking in the serene beauty of the natural landscape. The boat ride lasts about 1 hour, leading to the Shala River, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and stunning scenery.
FREE TIME/LUNCH: Visitors will have approximately 3 hours of free time at Shala River to appreciate the breathtaking nature, unwind, enjoy lunch, or take a refreshing swim in the clear waters. An optional hike is available, guided by the tour leader upon arrival. The hike takes about 45 minutes round trip and is highly recommended—the view from the top balcony is absolutely spectacular.
- Tirana - Afterward, guests will return to the boat and make their way back to the Komani Dam, followed by a drive back to Tirana. This tour provides a unique and unforgettable opportunity for visitors to discover the stunning natural beauty of Albania’s Komani Lake and Shala River, making it an excellent choice for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.

Beautiful trip - Big thanks to the amazing Deo for the unforgettable experience showing us the beautiful sights of Shala River and Lumi I Shales. The rain was heavy but Deo ensured our day wasn’t dampened by this! Would recommend to anyone who loves an adventure 🥰

Thailand in Albanien ?!?! - Lots of photos, great nature, nice guide, absolutely jackets and long pants to take on the boat it was very cool. Grit your teeth and hop into the cold stream!!!

what to do if you go to Albania - We were afraid to do this tour because it is quite far from Tirana but the van that took us was air conditioned and the guide was super friendly, we took breaks during the journey
the guide always had a smile ready to explain to us a lot about the lake as about Albania and its history.
I really recommend this excursion that made us full of eyes with a great frame!!!

Komain lake - Nice trip despite long drive from Tirana. But not a moment bored.
Too bad swimming wasn't in it yet because the water was too cold.

Beautiful and fun experience - Our Guide, Klajdi was very knowledgable and helpful. The boat trip was amazingly beautiful! Some people had trouble walking on throcks to switch boats

Off Season Visit - Absolutely loved visiting in October. I was staying at a random place but Rei used location services on WhatsApp to pick me up. Lovely bunch of people on the trip. Was advised to pack for cold on the boat which I did. Had a great, 30 minute guided hike then time to explore. There was a mix up with the boat going back due to the clock change so everyone was refunded 20 Euro but it really was not necessary. I'll remember this trip for a long time. Magical.

Spectacular scenery explored by simple boats. - Punctual pickup at the meeting point. Friendly guide and prudent driver on a difficult route with a high proportion of gravel and potholes. Spectacular boat trip to the sandbank on the Shale River with short hike there. Overall a nice experience.
